Just heard on WFAN that Teixeira has been traded to the Braves for Saltamanchana, (have no idea how to spell his name), and some other players. It being reported that it is a six player deal but they are the two big names.

Saltalamacchia is his name. man that was funny. Sounds like a Brazilian futbol player.

I don't know how he will do over there but I still think the Mets win out...

Its a big time bat for the braves, which they need since Jones isn't really hitting this year. The NL east with the phillies and Braves hot on the Mets will be very interesting baseball in September.
