Mike Visiting With Son For Army Game?

It was reported that C Mike Golic from West Hartford, CT will be making an unofficial visit this weekend with his father for the Army game. Can we assume that Jake will also be in attendance?

Sorry, I haven't heard anything from anyone regarding the juniors attending aside from Michael Floyd and a couple Chicago kids.

I believe both were there...a buddy who went along for the game (he and his son...first for both...they owe me big for the field level seats, heh) asked me if I got a picture of Golic along the sideline. Said no, I didn't see him. Asked where he was and my buddy said he's walking up the sideline away from us. So I never got a picture.

So..when we got home Sunday afternoon, I fired up the TIVO to check out the HD broadcast. During one of the early breaks they did one of those fast moving montage thingers before going to commercial (mighta been at the end of the 1st Q). I thought I saw Golic in the background along the sideline during a closeup of Quinn. Went back and slo-mo'd it. Sure enough it was Mike Golic standing with 2 very tall teenage-looking dudes. I would assume they were both of his sons.

(Oh, and I spotted my wife and I during a fast lateral sweep of the south end zone when I did a frame by frame look )

Jake put in a great performance at this weekend's Purdue Nike Camp. He still looks like he needs to put on a little "good" weight, but he is starting to remind a lot of people of Kyle Rudolph. ND is to said to have heavy interest in Jake and it appears as though the interest is mutual. Therefore all signs point to Jake becomming one of the first commitments in the '09 recruiting class.

I've said for awhile that I fully expect that Jake will be the TE that ND will take in next years class. He's at worst a solid TE thats worthy of a ND scholy and I think he could turn out to be a top 5 TE in '09 class.

Jake participated in ND's camp this past weekend and Mike was there as well. Other ND commits that I know were there were Cave, Goodman, and Newman. Nice to see Newman coming up.

Nathaniel is a Junior so...15-16

Nicholas is an incoming freshman...13-14
