Someone make this into a poll of the most likely prospects to verbal next. I know we just got our 15th verbal and should be patient, but theres only two types of people...The Quick and the Dead. It may be a while, but lets get it started. WHO'S NEXT?!

I'm going to go with McCarthy. I've heard that there is a good chance that he may decide in the next 3 to 4 weeks. So if he picks ND there's a good chance he could be next unless someone comes out of nowhere, ala Lane Clelland.

McCarthy is definitely going to be a trendy pick, so I'll go a different route.

My best guess is also a defensive back, Georgia product Jamoris Slaughter. We are the stated leaders right now, and with his folks more than on board with the academics ND offers, I think we seal the deal before summer's end. He might not even be able to trip to Michigan or LSU, which would make it even easier.

If you watch film on both Blanton and Slaughter... just think of how nasty those guys could be as a tandem at corner. They lay some lumber - I'd love to see that pair drop back in a zone coverage, or get up in a WR's face.

I could see Floyd pulling the trigger too, but Johnson, and Slaughter are both good picks as well.

Slaughter is probably the most likely to commit next. I'm also noticing a trend of DT's committing for us, so I'd say possibly Forston might commit sometime soon, or maybe even Goebel since he's drilled his schools down to 3, but that might be a longshot.

I think its that the thread is asking for the "next" to commit, not someone you really want or think is a fun to pick longshot. There are going to be guys that commit before Forston, who has hinted at a timetable for his recruitment that ends around the AAA game, or even signing day. So, he is open, but he won't be jumping on board for anyone any time soon. Earliest I could see it happening (which would be a surprise at that) is when he takes an official, one that hasn't even been scheduled yet.
