I'm going to get my prostate exam this morning. I'm nervous as hell. But this disease is a major killer in the black community. Especially someone over 40. So I'm gonna suck it up for my wife and do the damn thing. Hope his finger aren't built like sausage. lol

good for you. you're right, prostate cancer is a major cause of cancer death in the black community, but getting yourself screened for cancer is the best way of preventing a terrible outcome such as cancer. it's an uncomfortable exam, but you'll be happy you did it.

NY brother, thanks for being an example for all men 40 and up (I am not one, but I work in the realm of Men's Health). As Father's Day is upon us, it is a great reminder. Xanax may help with not only your nerves, but your bunghole as well.

Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable cancers there is. Most men die w/ prostate cancer not from prostate cancer. Early detection is the key regardless of how uncomfortable the exam is. Just had mine at my last physical. My suggestion: pick a doc w/ skinny fingers! LOL.

My wife is also after me to have the procedure. Our local
hospital offers an annual free screening day where they
take blood and have you bend over. I had it done several
years ago, but I do realize it should be done on an annual
