Ok, I'll be the troublemaker. I waited a day to see if the above quotes just went over everyone's head, or maybe it was just ignored by everyone. Sorry, I can't ignore it.

I love the very clever response, "that's a feature", when the feature is that if you are not a Varsity Club member, that with the new ownership you are now subjected to advertisements when you log in. A very subtle way of saying that if you don't like seeing the advertisements, you can get rid of them by simply ponying up the $12 for a VC membership. For the record, I have been a VC member since the week I joined this board and have no problem with the 12 bucks, it was well worth it. However, if this new policy was in effect at that time I am not sure if I would have doled out the money just to avoid the commercials, but that's just me being me.

Anyway, I still love the use of the word "feature." It's sort of like when Rivals used to have those incessant and annoying A-Rod commercials before their free videos as the price you had to pay to watch them, now that was a great feature.:rolleyes: I think I'll pass the above quotes on to the John Edwards campaign, I'm sure he would be able to use such ingenious phrasing to his advantage.

I think that may have actually been installed/changed by the previous owner.

My bad if that is the case, but if that is the case, why did lep4life make a comment about seeing a bunch of advertisements when he logged in as a problem, which I took to meant he had never been subject to them before, plus before you log in you now see a message that says

Join Varsity Club to remove this box (and other ads)

I'm pretty sure that that message was not there last week.
