Hate to say this, ND wins, but Winthrop is a pretty good team. We still win by like 15 to 20 though

winthrop's 4 losses have been to unc, texas a&m, maryland, and wisconsin. They have won 18 in a row. Very impressive. But 23 of their 28 wins have come to teams ranked 249th or lower. If this game were played a month ago no one would be talking about it. ND would be expected to win, and they probably would win. But now that it is march, everyone is looking for a cinderella, and all eyes are focused on winthrop. I hope ND comes out and just crushes them. I dont think they will though. This will be Winthrop's
7th trip to the NCAA's in the last 9 years. They are 0-6 in the previous appearances. They have to be hungry for a win. But their hunger cannot be greater than ND's, especially the seniors. I think it will be a hard fought game. But in the end, ND's talent will be too much and they will win a close game. Another reason I think they will win is because it seems like EVERYONE of the so-called experts are picking Winthrop. Normally if everyone picks an upset, it doesnt happen. Rather it comes from a game no one is expecting. Irish prevail 82-74. Bring on the ducks!! Go Irish!!!!!

the conference doesnt have anyone other that winthrop that is any good. their best win is at mississippi state early in the year. there is a good article on ndnation saying that their best weapon is the element of surprise, and with everyone seemingly in love with them, that element is gone.
