I wasn't criticizing you or anything Gallup. I think it is really cool what you do. Admittedly, I don't know much about you, or the situation, I was just passing along some info I had, I wasn't calling it true or false.

I mean this sincerely, it's amazing to me that you can be so in touch with everybody. I would think you would have to have more credentials to get access to, or be trusted by some of these families. That is not me being critical of you, your age, or your process. It's just that if I heard that a 17-year old (I think you are 17) was getting the most accurate information on recruits before guys that have been in the recruiting industry for a couple of decades, I would call BS 9 times out of 10.

Again, not saying it is BS, just amazes me.

FleaFlicker, im guessing you heard that from the II premium board.

Seems like another attempt by the II/IEyes world to put down the efforts of anyone else.

Keep up the good work Nick. I've been following your work (I think from the beginning), and have been very impressed.

I think part of the reason people wondered about the authenticity was simply because "tough" was spelled like "tuff". Not a huge deal, but it just seemed funny.

Nick great job and keep it up.

If anyone doubts Gallup21 (Nick) interview, then I guess they have not read his other interviews. Remember Nick does not get paid like the paid hacks do and he has no reason to make it up.

Fleaflicker, i wasnt trying to call you out. I know youre just passing on info you heard...and im 14 (15 next month). The only reason tough was spelt like that is because i do copy and paste from the email box for the email interviews...and thats how he spelt it. But thanks for the support guys, hopefully after the blue and gold game ill have something really cool that i can post...if everything pans out like i hope

One thing that McDonald did not mention in his interview with Gallup is whether Dayne Crist is still coming with him on his visit to ND. As late as last week Crist indicated that he was coming on the same dates as McDonald (April 11-14), but he also thought he was going to be at ND for the Blue-Gold game which is not until the 21st.

Gallup, you are saying that you hope to have something to say after the Blue & Gold game as well. I had thought that you were probably talking about McDonald but according to the dates he will be leaving ND a week before the Blue Gold game, and everyone seems to think that McDonald will commit during his visit.

Can anyone clear up the confusion about the dates, and whether Crist is still visiting with McDonald.

Crist and McDonald are visitng togehter April 11-14th. They will not be there for the Blue Gold game. The Blue Gold game thing i might have afterwards is different, and may not happen. I just have to hope it pans out the way i hope it does.

I've seen nick around a bit especially on DD so I'll take his work as the real deal. Good Job.

I like this kid (Gallup21). I wish I had 1/3 of his drive and desire that he has at his age. I think it's commendable and I'm envious of the future he has before him. You've got a real talent, Kid...Stay with it. Your parents must be proud.

Keep up the fantastic work.

Go Irish!

Anthony was on Power Hour last night and it really seems like he'll be committing to the Irish soon. He said his mom has always loved ND, and she is really pushing for him to go to ND.

BTW his comments and anwsers line up with Nick's interview.

I understand your point, and with all of the 'me first' stuff that recruiting brings into view I actually find it very encouraging that these recruits and their families are so supportive of what Gallup21 is doing. Here's a young guy actually trying to find out about the person, rather than focusing on size/speed/etc. Further, he is providing this information free through his site; unlike these pay-site 'mouthpieces' who actually take less credible information and sell it to fans frothing for recruiting info.

One of the things that most impressed me about IEnvy initially, was how much information Svo et al were sharing on recruiting. It's great to see Nick doing similar things w/ his NI site.

No

No

No I don't think he will be a 5-Star. Although he is the best linebacker in California, he is only on Rivals 250 to watch list and not the top 100.

LB spots are already slimming down...we're only going to take about 4 and then wait for an elite guy if we take a 5th.

I think ND might possibly take 6 if they are the right guys.

Commited:
Poz
McDonald

ND Lean:
Flemming
Filer

Then if you can get some one else like... (1 or 2 of these guys)
Beal
Sweat
Hale
Sabino

If you can get him, you take him...
Brown

I agree GG, with the 3-4 and the current lack of depth, 7 is not an unrealistic number if Brown were somehow to commit. Even if there are 6 already, the Irish will hold open a slot for Brown if he is showing any interest at all. He is that good.

I may be wrong, but early commits should pressure the "interested" others who think they may lose their spot. Everything looks good so far!

Me too, LB are sorely needed this go round. I said before, the D-line and LB recruits will make or break this year.

I disagree, I've heard from someone who I know is very well connected to the program and even though he's extremely tightlipped he does pass on info here and there and some of the things he tells me that most of us assume that isn't the case is the recruitng class size as a whole as well as the WR, RB and LB recruiting.

I've been told that this class will be a big class, not 19, 20 man class like some say.

The LB recruiting class will be huge and could be 5 to 6 in this class, maybe more it all depends on who they can get they won't take a certain number of LB's just to do so. I still don't get what defense they are running from how it was explained to me. I don't think it's a true 3-4 more of a hybrid 3-4/4-3 system like the Dolphins use but the point is that ND didn't get the number of LB's they wanted last year and going with some form of the 3-4 you are going to need more LB's.

As for RB's, the talk of only taking 1 RB isn't true. He said they might only take one but they like what they currently have and they won't take one just to fill a spot they will take more than 1 if they can get the players they want. Actually I think they view Sam McGuffie in the same vein as Armando Allen as more of the small speed RB that's going to get plenty of touches but more of a AP-RB and situational RB. So I think getting someone like him doesn't effect the recruitment of Darrell Scott or Ryan Williams.

The same can be said about the WR recruitment and I will say right now there will be more than 2 WR's taken in this class, 3 at the very least alot of how many people they take is who they can get and what grants are left and since the defense takes priority they will give more grants to get extra LB's before taking extra WR's.

BTW, ND got some nice WR's the last couple of years and I'm glad that they did but they haven't got instant impact stud WR and this year I think they are looking to change that.

Good post, but I can see Kamara being a stud WR before long.
