This guy makes me sick. I mean if there is anyone out there that should be the spokesman for this stuff its ED Begley Jr. But Gore........ohhh no he has to go and have $2400/mo power bill. He is more detirmental than helpful, I dont care if he won an oscar. This is just downright awful if that is the case.

You guys feel free to say whatever about this. I wont defend him one bit. I still stand by the global warming issue but to have it fronted by a energy glutton is unacceptable. I mean I have my home energy use down to about $60/mo. And his is $2400.00?

Throw in all his private jet travels in there too and his 1K and change gas bill. The guy lives in Tenn, how does his gas bill get that high? Imagine if he lived somewhere where it actually got below freezing. Gore has always been a f'n hippocrit.

I'll throw in other names of what is wrong with the Dem party: Clinton (both of them), Feingold, Kohl, Pelosi, Murtha, Durbin, Reid, Kennedy, Kerry, Boxer, Rockefeller, Dean, Edwards, etc.

i am not a democrat for the record. i think both parties are crazy and full of hypocrites. We need new leadership from outside of the two parties. But yes i agree with you on all of those names. I have some others for you: Delay, Trent, Cheney, Bush ( all of them), Swartzenegger, Libby, Rove, Coulter, O'Reilly, Abraham, Wolfowitz,

He did however, invent the Internet. lol

That's the best. He also used to be a conservative democrat who was Pro-Life, but when he found it politically convenient to switch...he did. I don't care what side of the aisle you are on when it comes to all the hot-button issues...we can respectfully disagree. But don't switch to the side you supposedly have fundamental disagreements w/ for the sake of votes. Yes, I know he's not the only politician to have done this, but he seems to have made it a trend rather than claiming enlightenment & changing based on new facts/arguments.

A legend in his own mind!

O'Reilly is a traditionalist not a republican. I like him because he gets hate emails from both the right and the left. If you watch him enough, you will see that his interest does lie with the people. Although one can disagree where he is coming froom, at least he is not an extremist.

EVERYONE BEWARE! THE WORLD IS NEAR THE TIPPING POINT OF GLOBAL WARMING!
Scientists have come out and said that the "science is done"! No need for further studies on climate change. The world must act now to "set" temperature levels for all countries to combat the catastrophe of global warming.

Oh my goodness. I must do something to help. Instead of ordering pizza and having someone use energy to make it, and drive it over, I will instead eat a peanut butter sandwich.

An atmospheric scientist, formerly employed by NASA, was on the radio today, discussing global warming. His thoughts are that scientists get differing opinions on global warming by using differing models, using many limits on factors, and adding/omitting different criteria. He thought that the models being used are far too complex to be even close to accurate.
You hear alot about greenhouse gases heating the earth. What you DON'T hear is the fact that weather systems help keep the earth cool. If we didn't have those, the earth's average temp would be around 140 degrees. Obviously, weather systems change constantly and we are hardly able to construct predictable patterns beyond several days.
In considering global warming, scientists must determine how fragile (or stable) the environment is. Which to me sounds entirely SUBJECTIVE! Also, precipitation systems, which determine weather all around the world, whether it be the desert or Seattle, is normally not being factored in. Not doing so would skew the data to where you want to go.
One last interesting note. In the 70s, scientists were pointing to a trend of an increase in cold weather over the prior three decades. Pointing to snow accumulation where none had previously existed. WITH NO CHANCE OF REVERSAL! It was a virtual harbinger of an oncoming ice age. There were actually maps made of North America being covered by a glacier.
I'm not saying that I'm right and those scientists are wrong, but I think it's entirely rediculous that people think that EVERYONE must buy into global warming without question. It seems to me that there are way too many assumptions and criteria going into the global warming models for anyone to say with certainty that they are absolutely correct. For some experts to suggest that the "science is done" tells me that there is plenty of bias, and an agenda behind the whole thing.

Be careful Stonebreaker, sounds like you might actually be *gasp* reading up on the literature of Global warming instead of just accepting what the fear-mongers are telling you! Bad American Bad! Believe the Media Hype! Don't read Scientific evidence or the fine print, accept the HEADLINES!! BE AFRAID ENOUGH TO DO WHATEVER WE TELL YOU!!

Sorry, I think I was possessed by something truly evil... maybe a ghost of an old telemarketing CEO. Ick.

I may be ignorant, but what I won't do is accept as gospel what is controversial. Not too long ago, two researchers in Australisa were labeled across the globe as nitwits for suggesting that bacteria was behind a disease. Their reputatation was ruined and other evidence was given to show how wrong they were. Now those two researchers are called something else....."Nobel Prize Winners".

For those who are fervently believing in global warming, are probably the same ones who were afraid of the "ice age scare". There could be warming, we don't know for sure. We don't even know if it is caused by man, which means we could actually affect it at all. To those who do believe, it sounds like a religious type belief (yes, you) where all other evidence is discounted.

I am starting to see a trend.........

In the face of overwhelming evidence christians refuse to accept evolution,
In the face of overwhelming evidence christians refuse to accept global warming,
In light of ANY evidence at all other than what they were told by someone else, they belive in the Bible,
In light of overwhleming evidence, the shroud of turing and numerous other " christian relics" are still revered and believed to be 100%.

Ignorance is bliss.

Sorry but the evidence for global warming is staggering, the actual effects are what is not understood and by the time we understand it, it will be too late. But keep on keepin on.

OMG! This place is pitiful. The same old crap over and over again. What does any of this BS have to do with Notre Dame. You question the pseudo-intellectual's beliefs and his classic pseudo-intellectual response is to call people ignorant. Now everyone watch closely because the PI's response to this post will be to hurl a personal insult. I'm taking a week off from Irish Envy, I need a break from the incessant babble.

whew! For a second there i thought you were the iranian president. You need to check your facts though. GW is happening. The problem is what will happen and when. If you think the earth will a barren desert no that wont happen for millenia. But will there be sporadic and intense drought? Yes. Will numerous coastal cities including Baltimore, New york New Orleans All of florida and the southeast coast including my home town be covered by waterif the sea evel only changes by a little more than a foot? Yes. Not to mention all of the other countires in the world. Yes it could be a very big deal for all people on the earth. Ignoring it will not make it go away.
