What's his competition like?

Their conference isn't the greatest but they are in Illinois' highest division 8A and the two games they lost, 2 & 3 points, were to #10 Palatine and eventual 8A runner up Marist (Nic Weishar's HS)

Sounds like he's a pretty good basketball player too. He needs to skip that next year and get in the weight room.

Yea, he's got a really nice frame and moves well but he's definitely not a quick twitch athlete.

We take one DE every other year, and 6 every fifth year, and that's the way it will always be!

I won't have a beef with this kid if he's in this class as filler. He's a hybrid TE / DE and a nasty, athletic basketball player too. His frame has the flexibility to do what they want with it. Here he is with Duke TE commit Marwede and ND's Cole Kmet. You can see the difference. Perkins is a thoroughbred.
