Given who we have offered right now I would guess Floyd, Filer, or Posluszny. If Nagel, Gray, or Golic is offered soon I could see them being the first though.

I am not sure that we will get any early committments. Based on Charlie's comments on signing day, he wants to make sure that future commitments understand that their committment is binding and I would imagine that means that he will not allow them to visit other schools and stay committed. I can't imagine Floyd, Filer or any other high profile recruits making an early committment like that without taking some visits to a few of their top schools.

With that said (and to answer the question), I think that Golic's kid will be the first committment of the 2008 class.

even though this past recruiting year was hard to swallow, i cant stop checking out the 08' recruits. but with regards to the first nd recruit this year i really dont care until feb. 1st 2008, when they send in their faxes. i want this 08' class to be the BEST and i bet after what happened this year, the whole ND coaching staff will be non-stop recruiting.

i want the first nd "lock" for the class of 08 to be a stud so i want FILER.

Given the schools that are looking at him, and the fact that ND didn't take a center this year I would guess that there is a pretty good chance ND will offer him at some point.
