I think TeeDee knows what he is talking about when it comes to the correct pronunciation and spelling of Taylor Dever's name.

Nah, at 6'3" 285 I think Nwankwo has earned Big Fella. Dever at 6'6" 290 gets Bigger Fella. Stewart gets BIGGEST Fella. LOL

Although from what I hear Chris Little is about Chris Stewart's size. (both are in the mid-low 300's...whew!)

Which reminds me of a story that I think Brandon Hoyte told. He said that he used to eat 4 PBJ's before bed, so he did not wake up hungry. hahahahahaha

This Denver/Dever thing has been going on for sometime; people gotta add 'Dever' to their dictionaries!!!

Guess you didn't know that Nwankwo posted on this site during his recruitment under the "DaKid" moniker. http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/member.php?u=1604 Unfortunately, all his posts have been deleted during the "incident". Still, around here, lots of people call him that.

Seriously, this kid will be a beast. I wonder why more people don't talk about him. We'll be learning his name well enough in the coming years.

I've said before in the Dever thread (pre-incident) that I think people just feel like Taylor Denver is a good football name, so they mess up. It's also an awesome name for an old west gunslinger.

He was very sick and subsequently performed very poorly at the Nike combine. That caused him to fly under the radar for a very long time. Finally the big time schools got his film, but it just so happened that ND was one of the first big boys to pick up on him, since that's where he wanted to go his recruiting momentum never really got rolling. I have heard that Miami and Nebraska also picked up on him very early and offered about the same time as ND.

And that's exactly what I love to hear. He wants to go to ND...that's something special. I know this sounds kind of over-done...but honestly, he's going to have such an amazing experience at ND. I was only a grad student there and I look back on it so fondly. And let me tell you, Grad students don't get half of the experience that undergrads do. ND is truly an amazing experience, few schools can match it.

Even if he never plays one second on the field (yeah, right!) he will still be an ND grad. And that is something no grad would trade for anything. He will be part of the family...

He was also just ranked as one of the Top OL's coming out of California for 2007 (free article on Scout), so he is definitely getting recognition now.

While his name is spelled correctly in his recruiting profile, it is spelled wrong on the main page under the list of 2007 commitments. Would somebody that is able to mind changing that?

I agree I was stunned when the last updates came out and he didn't move to a four star on Rivals... this kid is gonna make them look bad, and make Charles look like a genius... here's hoping the kid works hard and proves the doubters wrong...

I was surprised that scout actually had him at 4*. He does look promising.

The format of this board does make it easy for a recruit to stop in and see what is being said about him. I read that thread a couple times before figuring out that TeeDee's 1st post was from him.

lets just remember TeeDee's first post and keep it in mind in future post about Taylor Dever's name.

Nothing annoy's a person more than seeing their name misspelled.
