We could take 25 at the expense of some 5th year guys but Shamrock nailed it.

Unless Everson Griffin or Galippo think the NCAA is going to put USC on probation or Trattou (and dad) wake up and realize he will have to learn the 3-4 for the next level anyway, or the planets all align.

Keep in mind ND requires recruits to be approved by ND Admissions before they can be offered a written scholarship. Even then it's still conditional on the recruit meeting all ND's requirements (which exceed the NCAA minimums). That effectively precludes a recruit deciding at the last minute that he wants to attend ND from doing so.

Brian Smith and Nick Wood were both asked to fly to South Bend on their nickel to go through the process. One did and is in the other said, no thank you.

Guys that have visited ND and filed transcripts and been cleared by Admissions like the ones I mentions up top could bolt to ND but unfortunately it's unlikely. In the past 10 or 12 years only one comes to mind who stunned the ND coaches and his parents when he faxed his LOI to ND on Signing Day.

Anyone heard of Ricky Booker kid from I believe Flordia?? He is listed as a LB and has nice size (6'2 and 240) and moves real well at 4.8 ish. Seems like a nice fit in a 3-4 defense. Was just wondering about.....bad grades??? run afoul with the law or something??

He lists ND (no offer) and offers from Alabama and Pitt.

Any info would be a great help and would be appreciated.

it's usually locally unless the player has not announced yet and he is big time.. then they fax the loi to CW. It's always good to hear that the number of players that sent their loi in, matches the number that have verballed.
