noooooooooooooooooooooooooo. He loves ND, i would be shocked, then again I was shocked when that DE from Jersey switched too. I think he is enamored with the early PT he will get in South Bend.

I believe thats hearsay, if you look right under that I commented there. Harrison's dad hates Tennessee's education. Harrison is also a smart kid, I believe he will stay at Notre Dame.

This is really the first year I have paid any attention to the recruiting aspects of ND football. How typical is it for verbal commits to jump ship (1 or 2 per recruiting class, etc.), speaking of ND in particular? Arrelious Benn comes to mind this season as someone most expected to come to ND until late in his recruiting process...what other big name recruits have bailed on ND in similar fashion over the last 5-7 years?

LOL @ going all tOSU on Trattou and calling him "that DE from Jersey"...

As a LONGTIME ESPN poster... don't put any weight in this at all... most likely the guy is one of two things a kid looking for attention, or a Vols fan playing games...

but for what it is worth Smith is my fav. on D this year too... I'd be more pissed than when Tratt bolted

Not that common, this has been a hell of a year... some years you get one or two per school, usually the average per school is none

When Ty got fired we lost David Nelson to Florida who was a tall lengthy receiver with great hands and we also lost a great SS prospect in Brandon Harrison to Michigan, he should be starting next year. I don't think CW lost any last year but with a coaching change, things are bound to happen.

JT made the right choice for him. He wanted to play in a defense that was suited for him and he is. GOOD LUCK JT.

some posters like myself are retarded.... Trattou made a smart move since it's the right one for him... H Smith hopefully realizes the right place for him is here at ND... that is all

FYI, bashing 17 year old kids for changing their mind dosen't make anyone retarted. Also, the "bashing" of recruits on this board is not allowe, nor will it be tolerated.

Regarding Smith, my half brothers, sister's cousing on his fathers side know's Smith's drivers ed teacher who said he had ND writen on his school folder. So were ok LOL.

I don't get how you can blame JT. Sure he decommited so close to LOI day, but we also changed defensive coordinators and scheme. JT was commited to play in the 4-3 at ND, he did not want to play in the 3-4 you can't blame him for that.

The 3-4 was/is not definite by most accounts. If the kid changed his mind on a whim, it was more likely the poor ND defense all year, and the FL national championship. He most likely will not get the same education at UF. Whatever the reason is, if he doesn't want to be here, good luck elsewhere. There are plenty of kids who would love to play at ND. (and want a top-notch degree) that will come here.

I'll believe this when I see it on NSD. This year has been crazier than most I can remember in terms of the number of decommitments (not just ND, many programs have been "bitten") but I would think it would be a major blow if Harrison Smith did have a change of heart this late in the game. It may sound odd but H.Smith has the look of an Irish player....chop a lot of his hair off & he kinda looks like Zyba. Only faster...not quite as strong but I think he's every bit as fast as Tom Z. And ND can use every able body they got in the secondary this coming year.

ESPN is starting to get unwatchable to me....it's like they're intent on creating the news instead of just reporting it.

Seriously though, if you have to stop and think about everything first, you'll never have the glory of making a valiant (and often violent) attemptto defend lost causes against ridiculous odds and failing gloriously because of the harsh light of reality. Come on. Pretty soon you're going to require us not just to think, but to think about the FACTS as well. Give me a break.

Neg reps.

So since this is a Harrison Smith thread and not what everyone else is talking about. What is up with Harrison? He isn't going to leave is he?
