No. The Bucs just recently signed Chris Simms to a two year extension.
I doubt they have any interest in Brady.

Chris Simms is an average to poor QB. Besides, why does a salary on the low end of QBs hamper them from drafting a franchise QB?

Likelihood that Chris Simms would still have a job if his last name were not Simms=0%

Gruden has sill said that he would like to coach ND someday. He grew up in SB and his dad was coach on the ND staff in the early 80's. If for one reason or another Charlie is no longer the coach at ND, then Gruden is on the top of my list of who I want for the Irish.

they also have a decent backup QB in Gradkowski (6th/7th rounder i think). Gruden loves him and he did okay for a rookie last year. He beat out Tim Ratty to be the backup, until the last few games.

he is completely an offensive guy. he has been the o play caller for the bucs since he got there. Some how though they just can never seem to click on offense though.

I struggled mightily to make it through each game this year. I cant believe Simms though,.... played with a ruptured spleen for almost two quarters. Say what you want, thats a tough son of bitch and i like it.

I already liked Simms before that, but I know he made a lot of new fans after that incident.

i was watching that game and the trainers were treating him like he was dehydrated. It was awful. I mean they took him in to the locker room just be fore halftime for xrays and still missed it.

It was not until he could not get up off the field that it was evident something was really wrong. And he still almost led the team to a win.

If i were him ,i would have the team can the trainers as part of my new contract.

I've heard rumors that Quinn's going to pull out of the game actually, so Gruden might not get a chance to coach him. Since Russell's a junior, there might not be much to gain by working out, so this seems to be a sensible move. To add a little more smoke, right now there are 7 or 8 QBs who have been announced as attending, but in the past there have only been 6 on the roster.

I only read where his agent advised against him playing in the game.

If we know Brady Quinn, that wont be enough to keep him out of that game.

sorry i didn't know

dont apologize, i was just giving some info you may not have had. Monty Kiffen handles the d. Gruden does not mess with the d on the Bucs as Monty practically invented the Tampa Cover 2 and he was running it under Dungy as well.

Dont feel bad about asking questions. There are only a few people here who will make you feel bad for asking questions and i am not one of them.

UPDATE: Brady isn't going to play (link):

Quinn sidelined for Senior Bowl
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn will sit out the Senior Bowl with a minor knee injury.

Quinn will still travel to Mobile for the game, an audition for senior NFL prospects, Senior Bowl spokesman Vic Knight said Thursday. He said doctors advised Quinn not to play.

''It's a minor knee injury that will simply require rest,'' Knight said. ''But he still wanted to come to Mobile and meet with NFL officials and be part of the Senior Bowl.''

The game will still feature the two quarterbacks from the BCS national championship game, Florida's Chris Leak and Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith of Ohio State.

Looks like it is, per the usual, reserved for non-NFL prospects, eh? ;)
