This is from one of my IE threads with about a month to go before the past season... I like doing these posts every year and this was the first time I did it on IE... it was something like "predictability of inevitability "... ANYWAY... I thought since the board is slow it might be fun to rip apart my predicts... have at it everyone...
What I wrote is bolded--
Heading into the season there are a few things we all know are just going to happen...
... keep in mind it's in fun/ some very serious some not so much... and of course, feel free to add to it or debate...
That was one hell of a super sexy-licous start if you ask me...
1. Ohio St. fans will continue their recent heavy charge towards overtaking BC fans as the fan base most sickened with Irish Envy.
when a passonate fan base collectively cares more about ND losing then their own team making a title run... WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!
2. Oregon fans will kick and scream about what bowl they didn't get into only to watch their team lose the bowl they do get into.
eh, it's still funny in retrospect
3. The SEC will be home to two- three teams that will finish around 500% in the conference that would have made serious runs for titles in any other conference.
41-14 anyone?
4. Kansas/ Nebraska WILL determine the big 12 north!
one of my bolder ones here... KU nearly won that game and lost other big 12 games by VERY narrow margins if mem serves...anyway NU won the game and won the North... Acamp is rolling!
5. Northwestern will beat at least one team they have absolutely no business beating and become America's team for at least a week or so....
that sound you hear is the momentum screeching to a halt
6. McCoy, McCoy or Snead.. Take your pick, will cost Texas at least one game they should win...
K state anyone? big mo staring to roll again! Sexy.
7. USC will still be great but see number 6, also applies here...
Not sure it was the QB play but Oregon St could have a case?? eh... FUSC
8. No matter what the ranking, Irish haters across the country will gripe about ND's place in the polls.
And they're STILL griping... the ACamp train keeps on a rollin'
9. The ACC will continue its climb to the title of most entertaining and competitive conference in America, and will surpass the SEC very soon...
another one that looks bad, but UM and FSU does not the ACC make........ well okay I fanned on this one,.... for now....
10. Arizona and Kansas both make shocking conference runs...
I bow my head in shame.....
11. Louisville will do what everyone thought they would do last year, and everyone thinks West Virginia will do this year by running the table and ruining the competitive factor of the National title game...
okay come on... who saw Rutgers coming??? the mo has officially stoped
12. Even if Brady Quinn smashes every single season passing record on the books and leads the Irish to the title, IF he wins the Heisman, the majority of the nation will attribute it to "media Bias"...

13. USC will hang yet another banner in the Coliseum for some "title" they decide this year that they won pre World War II... despite nothing backing their claim.
David Newberry is working on this as we speak... apparently he and Mike Garrett heard that Rodney Pete thought he might have rememdered seeing SC on top in the Dunkel poll for one week during the 88 season... the ceremony for the Trojans 88 title winners will be held next month
14. No matter who wins or loses the National Title Game the majority of the losing fan base will attribute the loss to the refs...
HAHA... knee slapper... good thing the bucknuts took it out of the refs hands isn't it?
15. Fresno V Boise St. will be the most interesting nonBCS conference match up all year long.
BIG typo here, I meant Boise would play in the most interesting BCS BOWL... that much is abundantly clear even the most rudimentary sense of logic and taste for things such as- …. Whatever go screw yourself

Feel good about this one... the way they were getting hammered to start the year... Truely a "kind and genlte sir" type of prediction imo
19. Drew Stanton will be the best player in the world by midseason then will fail to be even a threat for a trip to New York by season's end.
Anyone remember the on air meltdown of that local radio host from Mich. the monday after the game??? Too funny... (That’s me deterring attention away from myself… cough cough!!)
20. Notre Dame will win the National Title...
as we all know I had to go there... even though some might remember my actual pick was Michigan... whatever
