"LSU will rock us."
"LSU is gonna frickin' kill us."
"I still think we're gonna get killed..."
"Seriously, we're gonna get killed."
"We're dead. We are so dead. If we win this game I will die of joy. We. Are. Dead."
"I will be ecstatic if we pull off this win."
"LSU is gonna kill us. They will kill us, kill us again, and then kill us repeatedly until we are dead."

Just a sampling of the things I've been saying and writing for the past month.

You know what? F--- it. I'm changing my mind. I'm seeing too many parallels to the '92 Sugar Bowl, too many people saying Notre Dame doesn't deserve to be in this game, too many people gloating at Notre Dame's defensive woes, too many people canonizing JaMarcus Russell, too many people calling Brady Quinn overrated.

And of course that comment the other day from that LSU player, something about, "We want to show everybody that they don't really deserve to be where they are."

In approximately 45 hours, we will be celebrating Notre Dame's stunning upset victory over LSU. Bank on it.

I believe, baby.

I BELIEVE!!!

Look at the other bowl games...anything can happen. You can watch 2-3 college games per week like I do, see all the highlights on sports center, read the blogs, the newspapers, and still have no idea who the best teams truly are.

That's cause you drank UNTITLEDPROJECT's kool-aid.

I can only hope for a monster game for James Aldrige. As my roommate and I say: He's a rumbler. He rumbles. My roommate has a big man crush on him and sub D-Walk out for him on NCAA Football 2007 every time. He also wears the green jerseys all the time, so we'll see what happens.

Im just trying to figure out how LSU is suddenly this juggernaut in the mold of the '85 Bears.....I heard nothing about these guys until they matched ND up with them and now all of a sudden they are "the best team in the country the last 2 weeks of the season"

I saw them squeak one out over Tennessee in the last second of that one. Saw them lose 2 other games, 1 in which they lit it up for 3 points.

ND doesnt belong in the same stadium is what I hear daily. WTF made LSU a big deal? They lived outside the top 10 much of the year....

I apologize for my ignorance (I'm not a big video game person,) but how do you unlock the green jerseys in NCAA '07?

In all versions but the XBox 360 version, they're standard. For XBox 360, you have to download them off of XBox Live Marketplace. They were free when we downloaded them, but I don't know any more.

I wouldn't have it any other way. This is a great opportunity for our team. And please think of this...when the Irish win, Charley will be brought to that level of respect again. I know, who cares about the media? However, in years to come I want our head coach to be known as the man who tears it up in prime time.

I think the long layoff gets fans starting to think ND will win. They start reading all the parallels of the '92 Sugar Bowl and all the bulletin board material that the opponent announces. This isn't the first time that the defense & the O-Line have read how horrible they are, yet they have not proven them wrong to date. Not due to lack of effort, they're just out-athleted (I just made that word up).

As far as the '92 Sugar Bowl, remember that ND defense was weak up front but had a great defensive backfield. And in the O-backfield Bettis & Culver (need I say more?). Also, don't forget that until Joe Moore convinced Holtz that his O-lineman could manhandle UF's D-lineman, UF was handling ND pretty well. When the O-Line started wearing 'em down, the rout was on. The current O-Line needs to each have their career game & the team as a whole must play to error-free perfection, much like last yr's USC game.

Don't get me wrong, I love reading all the positive posts from you guys, I just can't go there myself until it's proven on the field vs. an elite team like LSU. I hope to God that you are all correct b/c I'll gladly eat crow, but we've been burned by OSU in the Fiesta, then UM at home & finally USC. If ND can add some wrinkles both defensively & offensively & make a conscious effort to do something different than the last 3 debacles, then I'll be happy w/ their best effort. But if they just think it was a matter of not executing in the past & think they can present the same defensive schemes & run the same offense then it's time to question the gameplanning of this staff.

I would agree with the majority of this statement. I think the month they had before this bowl will be/was very important to Notre Dame. I think it has allowed the staff to iron out some wrinkles both offensively and defensively. Though I still don't know exactly how good the defensive is.

What we as fans need to remember is all the press that says ND doesn't stand a chance and they shouldn't be on the same field as LSU doesn't only affect Notre Dame players. LSU players hear that as well...if they buy into it, we can and will beat them. I think the first quarter of the game will tell us a lot. I read somewhere today that LSU has outscored their opponents something like 120-27 in the first quarter.

Believe Boys...It's the only way to achieve!!!

From the Sugar Bowl Media Guide...LSU has outscored its opponents 122-20 in the first quarter. Includes a 101-0 mark in home games. They were also 8-0 in games in which they lead after the first quarter.

Again...Believe Boys...It's the only way to achieve!!!

I'll agree with this.I really hope the o-line is displined enough to not have any penalties.Weis said he learned from the long layoff in last years bowl game.I don't want to put him on the spot as I feel they are playing a overmatched opponent, but at the same time they were picked to play in the sugar bowl and had better live up to the expectations.
