new ncaa record with 55 touchdown passes in a season.Something tells me he's not quite done yet either.

im sick of hearing about colt brennan and his touchdown pass record. his team plays 9 home games a year on a patsy schedule and so the QB gets to put up huge numbers. i dont see whats so special about anything Hawaii. think if Brady Quinn played 9 home games a year with a schedule like Hawaii's. He would put up monster numbers too as would many QB's in the country

Great accomplishment, regardless of competition. It doesn't mean he is the best ever (in my eyes), but I give the kid some credit.

o.k. wait just a second. that's a terrific accomplishment no matter who you play. I am considering your point, but trust me...lets not take away from the guy here. That's a great achievement for a great overall quarterback. cut the guy some slack. and by the way, he deserved to at least be invited to the heisman ceremony. throw whatever stats at me you want about why he shouldn't, any of which aren't obvious.

(Brady Quinn will still get drafted first though.)

Dude, he lit up ASU for 559 yards and 5TDs. He's on a non-BCS team that just clobbered a BCS team...he did a tremendous job...what more can you say?

559 YARDS in a bowl game!!!

It all boils down to whether he is going to finish his senior year my guess is he'll come out,but who knows?

That night, Brennan, then a freshman at Colorado, drunkenly entered a female student's room uninvited and didn't leave. He was charged with several crimes including sexual assault. Colorado, which at the time faced accusations of sex crimes involving several football players, quickly dismissed Brennan from the team.

Brennan was convicted of first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree burglary, but was acquitted of charges of sexual assault and indecent exposure. He was sentenced to seven days in jail and four years probation.

Brennan went through plenty of "rock-bottom things" after the events of that January night, but mixed in were moments of hope. "Sitting in that courtroom with not one person sitting behind the district attorney," he said, "there was not one person that sat behind him and there were 50 people sitting behind me. That's a statement. I almost felt like I won that case even though I kind of lost."

Oh, yeah, great show of remorse, Colt. What, do you really think that a court case is decided based on how many people sit on your side of the courtroom? What a prick.

I hope he's at least stopped drinking, but I'm not holding my breath.

I can't stand this idiot. From the assault case to his reaction about his case to the just the look of him. This kid is garbage and I couldn't care less about how many touchdowns he throws. I'm old school. A players' character still means something. I'm sick of praising criminals because they can run fast, hit hard or throw well.

Well, with all due respect, that's a bit of a low blow. Sure, he's an ex-Trojan, but I haven't heard of Matt Leinart being charged with sexual assault. Maybe he can help Colt avoid a repeat performance.

As much as I loathe Matt Leinart, the douchebag does get hot chicks without having to assault them. Alyssa Milano? C'mon dear baby Jesus, that just isn't fair. One of many reasons I loathe that Don Johnson Miami Vice 5 o'clock shadow wearing crap weasel. Paris Hilton? Well, that's more along the lines of what that dirty bastid deserves.

Impressive accomplishment, and shouldn't be downgraded because he played in the WAC. He played 4 games against BCS conference teams and 1 against Fiesta Bowl bound Boise State.

5 "big" games: 158/220 71.8% 2132 yds 17 TD 6 INT

Projected over 13 games: 411/572 71.8% 5543 yds 44 TD 16 INT

OJ Simspon was a great running back with impressive numbers. He was also a murderer. I don't care what Colt Brennan's numbers were and I won't celebrate them.
