Greatest Stadium Memories

For me it's this game.(ranked #1 by the ND site and the nastiest game ever played).......however, I've had season tickets since then. 1993 vs. FSU great.......but the 92' "Snowbowl" probably the greatest also. I want experiences from lads that don't necessarily live here and their stories with family and first experiences at the stadium. This intro should give you chills.....the legendary tunnel fight etc.

Couple that stand out for me...

Posted this memory on another thread, but my first in-person intro to ND football was my freshman year in '93, which felt a bit peculiar growing up as a Michigan fan.

I was in the band, opening game vs. Northwestern. Did not really understand the magnitude of what our program was (or what a great college football atmosphere was, really). First play from scrimmage Pete Bercich returned a pick for a touchdown, and the place went nuts.

Was also a big fan of the Purdue game in '94, pouring rain, Ray Zellars amazing TD run.

Could go on and on...(and will in later threads).

USC vs ND 2005

Tom Zbikowski returned a punt for a touchdown. The crowd noise was THE loudest thing I've ever heard.

Ndukwe's INT against Mich this year was loud too..just b/c it was so close to being a TD and it came when things were on the brink of getting bad. So he slowed the badness down, but it caught up =(.

2005 ND vs. USC. although we lost, it was the experience of a lifetime. especially since i was standing on the field the entire game next to guys like Andy reid, Stephen A Smith and Derrick Mayes. I'm totally name dropping right now, but it was just surreal. The place was so loud i had to scream at my father who was standing next to me. i wouldn't have given up that game experience for the world.

I remember Spike Lee being on the field in '93 when we played Michigan, as well as the FSU game. I remember giving him grief up close after the FSU game asking him when he was going to pick a winner...was half expecting to see him somewhere on the field after the BC game. Seemed like he was jsut hopping on bandwagons that season looking for ND to lose.

I went on the field after WVU in 1997, so for a kid, that was pretty cool. But other than that...

when JJ and Getheral had returns against Neb. that was pretty awesome, despite the sea of red that was surrounding me. And my first game as a student against Penn St. has to be up there. And the UCLA game this year at the end.
