Chris Brown (CU, Tenn Titans)
Justin McCareins (NY jets) all three of these guys played on my HS football team at the same time, pretty good.

candace parker (that girl bball player on Tenn. who wins all those dunk competitions), i think her brother is tony parker (Spurs) but not sure.

Bob Kuechenberg (NFL), Larry Bigbie (MLB), Craig Osika (NFL), Angel Manfredy (boxing)

Of course we're surrounded by hotbeds of athletics, Merrillville, Valpo, Gary, and so on. Which is why we had to switch conferences in football and basketball. It was getting ugly.

I didn't know that. You bastards. I went to South right when the dynasty began 86-90.

You guys also had Eric Niese from MTV's 1st season of the Real World and the short lived MTV dance show "The Grind".

I had a buddy that went to OT and was a Nationally ranked swimmer.

Town: Kingston, TN
Famous Person: noone. Oak Ridge Boys are from Oak Ridge (20 mins away).
Famous Athlete: umm... Kevin Mays -- family friend. Played on the OL for Tennessee... was a first round draft pick to the Cowboys in the mid 90's, but blew out his knee in preseason and never recovered. Steve Spurrier grew up a few hours down the road.

Kingston was the capital of Tennessee for a day. Back during the civil war, Nashville was going to get invaded, so they promised to make Kingston the state capital if it sent ALL of the men from the town to help fight the battle. So, all of the men went to fight... they were victorious. Kingston was declared the new capital of Tennessee. The next day, the state government revoked the title and gave it back to Nashville, effectively shafting the entire town. I still laugh at this.

Town: South Bend, Indiana
Famous Person: No one significant
Athlete: However---my uncle was good friends with Dick Butkus and Dick came to our house in South Bend in 1971. My mother was a Green Bay fan...she loved Paul Hornung...my mother offered Dick a beer and he opened with his teeth--she started calling him an animal and a monster. It was a twist off cap. My uncle and Dick thought it was hillarious...my mother didn't find it so funny.

Not too many famous live or lived in Oil City, PA.

There is a guy who works at the gas station that kinda looks like the Monopoly guy and the pizza delivery gal can touch her tongue to the tip of her nose.

That's gotta count for something.
