Wasn't Greenberry a beast at Houston? Why wasn't he on draft boards?

Wouldn't say BEAST, but productive to say the least - regressed a little this past season. Was there an injury in play perhaps? New QB? Weird. Here's his draft profile (was given a 5.0 draft grade which is a 50/50 shot to make a roster, wow):

Overview

  • 2014: Played in 13 games, registered 72 receptions for 841 yards and six touchdowns.
  • 2013: Played in 12 games. Had 82 receptions for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns.
  • 2012: Played in 12 games. Recorded 47 receptions for 569 yards and three touchdowns.

Pro Day Results
  • 40-yard dash: 4.52 and 4.5 seconds
  • Vertical jump: 35 1/2 inches
  • Broad jump: 9 feet, 8 inches
  • Short shuttle: 4.31 seconds
  • 3-cone: 7.23 seconds
  • Bench: 21 reps of 225 pounds

Analysis
Strengths Has excellent size and overall length. Played outside and from slot. Shows some acceleration at top of post routes to gain moderate separation. Shows an ability to make challenging adjustments to poor throws.
Weaknesses Upright into routes and breaks. Needs to improve route running for next level. Too much wasted motion out of press coverage with head fakes and jukes at top of his routes. Tied for second in FBS with 11 drops. Struggled to make contested catches and had way too many focus drops.
Draft Projection Round 6 or 7
Sources Tell Us "You expect him to be able to win the deep stuff, but he doesn't have that second gear. He needs to get way better with his routes and hands to find a place in the league." -- AFC North scout
Bottom Line Possesses the size, but lacks the speed, route sharpness and hands that are desired from the position. He has some ability, but might need to work his way up the ladder to get a legitimate shot.

With Houston playing tonight, I was curious what happened to Greenberry. As was previously mentioned, he was signed by the Cowboys but was later cut. Then Seattle signed him and was also cut.

What was a bit more surprising was the fact that Deontay's father was murdered a little over a year ago and now his brother is accused of committing a double murder and could face life in prison.

If I remember correctly, Deontay told our coaches when the USC coaches were trying to meet with Tee in secret. Which was a nice move on his part. It's been all but confirmed that he didn't have the grades/scores to get into ND so he bailed to Houston. Seems like bad decisions run in the family, so hopefully he keeps his head screwed on straight.

He should've stayed for his degree...
