Mike Leach to Miami?

That's the hot rumor going around right now. I don't know if I could see Miami kids running his offense, but it could be pretty potent to say the least. He's definitely fighting a losing back at Texas Tech with Texas ruling the state and Texas A&M resurging.

I think it's a good fit. I think his offense would work great with South Florida athletes. Though I wonder if he's the guy to hold that program together. It's going to take a strong leader to keep them from sinking into the abyss with off and on the field issues.

If he can keep Shannon, it would solve his defensive problems.

I have complete support of Mike Leach no matter where he goes. Personally I would love the thought of seeing him on national tv more often,

Kids love this guy, though. During recruiting he often breaks the ice by performing magic tricks.

If they get him and retain Shannon, it could be a scary place. It'll all depend on if they can mend the program's tragic year it's had.

Right on. Unfortunately, he has a 10 cent brain. That's one thing often not taken into account when considering quarterbacks.

Sounds like UM really wants to keep Shannon as their DC and understandably so.

I've always liked Leach at TT. If he accepts the UM job, hopefully he can right that tragic ship, but I'm really not sold on his spread offense winning any national championships. I don't necessarily think that better athletes will run it tons better than they do in Lubbock now. But who knows?

And I think the problems at Miami are bigger than the head coach. It'd be nice for Leach if the administration understood that.

Miami's defense is awesome. That offense is absolutely putrid.

I'm not sure what's going on down in Florida, but all three of those teams have offenses that are setting football back with every snap.
