we made plans to go a month ago!!!!!!!
I think the bcs selection on who notre dame is playing kinda soured the whole thing.New Orleans is a great place and we were looking forward to going to cafe dumonde and emiril's.

I'm trying to fight off a pizz pour mood right now and maybe by next week after my bi-polar attitude has worn off,I'll let my wife make the decisssion.It's a shame that a nice vacation can be determined on the possible outcome of a football game.

My wife and I are looking at the 3 night packages with seats in the end zone...does not look too bad ($2400 incl flights).

I got a great deal on a hotel only 6 miles from the stadium (79$/night). I hope the LSU fans are decent and not a bunch of a-holes.

my 30" HDTV from walmart was $500 -- bottom of the line HDTV. That is cheaper than 2 plane tickets (for me and my wife) to Baton Rouge, a hotel, and 2 nosebleed seats at the Sugar Bowl -- and I get a better view.

I'm all set with tickets and a hotel that borders the French Quarter and the stadium is a mile away. Will spend New Years Eve on Bourbon Street. Hope ND takes LSU. We need the win. C'mon ND defense....we need you!!!!!!!!

I have friends that are alumni that aren't even going.

One of them went to the Fiesta Bowl last year. Said the next time he goes to a bowl game will be the bowl they play after the next one they win.

This game hinges on the ND defense IMHO. I pray to god to see them step up.
