I agree UM is the second best team, but if michigan were to win the nat'l championship game it would be unfar to OSU because they already beat UM
I agree totally with bc525 aka "Genius"
I make no official claim to the avitar....it's more of a sign to how much I love Guinness!!! Which I do argue makes me a genius....or at least the fact that consuming it in mass quantities makes me feel smarter....LOL
Where on the timeline are you talking? Because, had ND beat USC and UM lost to OSU, then there would have been an argument for a 1-loss ND team that had beaten the ACC and Pac10 champs. Had ND beat USC, ND's SOS would have been tougher than UM's, and pollsters sometimes forgive early losses. All you idiots who voted for Michigan after complaining that we deserved to get in over them despite losing to them by a billion (or whatever) on our home field are, well, idiots. Florida had a better season than anyone else accept UM, who lost to OSU in the last week of the season, and that's that.
Added bonus: it will be great to see Urban get steamrolled by Smith and Co. (617 yards, anyone)?
Ok, the SEC Championship is all but over, so in your opinion who deserves to play against O$U in the BCS Championship game and why?
Florida deserves their shot at Ohio State. Michigan had theirs in Columbus. They play in the same conference, in a non-playoff setup, Michigan should not play tOSU because a team that didn't win their conference doesn't deserve a shot at a national championship.
That's a load of crap.
The BCS says #1 vs #2.
It does not talk about conference champs, or rematches, blah blah...
If Florida jumps Michigan it's proof that the voters have no integrity.
Michigan. They are the #2 team.
They have NOT gotten their shot...that's a myth.

There was an argument for ND over UM then, just as there's one for Florida over UM now. Not saying it was terribly strong, but it was there.
After that... what's your point? It seems that UM>FL is the general consensus on the board, and the only issue with UM-OSU is that it would be a rematch. Not sure what you're adding except calling a bunch of people idiots that at worst deserve to be called homers.
Have to disagree with you there. As a wise person once said, "If your chances of winning the game hinge on a successful onside-kick attempt, the game wasn't really that close."
In my mind, Michigan had their chance at Ohio State. They lost. It's Florida's turn.
Or we could just go with this scenario, I suppose...
"Coach Tressel? Hi, we're from the BCS. Okay, here's the deal. The big season-ending game against Michigan is tomorrow, but before you play, we just wanted to let you know that we're changing the championship rules this year. In order to win the national championship, you'll have to beat Michigan twice in a row. If you win the first one but lose the second one, Michigan gets the national title. Winning tomorrow guarantees you nothing except that you get to play Michigan again. Sound good to you, Jim?"
If Michigan is still #2, then they WILL play the #1 team in the NC.If they are still #2, then they should play the #1 team in the NC.
but your reasoning on why florida is #2 is that michigan already had their shot at OSU, and that it's unfair to OSU to play Michigan again. Basically, what you're saying is that Florida is better than Michigan because there shouldn't be a rematch, which doesn't really work. I mean, there's an argument for Florida playing in the National Championship game, but "there shouldn't be a rematch" is not it.If Michigan is still #2, then they WILL play the #1 team in the NC.
But if I had a ballot, Florida would be #2. See above.
