Good for Brady? Millen expected to be fired

Matt Millen's wretched six-year tenure as the Lions' GM appears to be close to an end. Millen will sit down with owner William Clay Ford after the season, and that meeting is expected to result in Millen stepping down/getting fired. -- Philadelphia Daily News

I guess Detroit won't be drafting a WR.

He's far and away the worst GM in NFL history and it's not even close. The guy in second is a lap down.

How can Millen's firing affect Quinn when Art Shell will be calling Quinn's plays?

A just and loving god would not allow Brady to go to the Raiders.

Thank God, it has sucked having to watch the Lions. Hopefully the Fords fire him before the draft. The only problem is that he was extended either last year or the year before. The way the Fords run the Lions and Ford Motor, I'm surprised that either are still in business.

Hot damn! I think its good for NFL fans because I think he was far and away the best color man in the game....UHHH, assuming he goes back to the booth and the Bidwells don't throw tens of dollars at him to become an exec in AZ.

Now that was funny.

It's amazing to me how many opportunities some people get. I understand the fact that you have to give an individual time to accomplish some goals....like turning a NFL franchise into a winning one, but geez...this was a sinking ship! At no time since Millen took over did the Lions show any hope to the fans that a turnaround was beginning.

I mean hell, I'm not a Lions fan and it pisses me off this guy held this job for so long.

Millen can't hold a candle to Isiah Thomas. Everything he touches turns to sh*t.

And as a Bulls fan I love Isiah...especially when the Bulls make the playoffs and they still get a top 3 pick from the Knicks. I hope he stays around forever! He takes all the Bulls crap. Crawford...Curry...

As far as Millen, I am sorry to see him go. As a Bears fan, it was always nice to count on 2 wins a year over the kitties.

Now there's a truism !
There's very few athletes that I actually "hate" (there's that word again !), but of those few, Isiah is at the top of the list.
Terrell Owens is in his rear view mirror.
You know when Bobby Knight, of all people, thinks you're a jackass.....you ARE a jackass !
