A lot of Raider hate, which I will try to ignore. (Life long Raider and ND fan) I think the biggest reason the Raiders will end up not taking Quinn is because of the salary cap mess they currently have, I doubt they could afford Quinn next season. Regardless of that Walter is still an unknown commodity and I would be surprised if Davis drafted QBs on the first day of the draft in back to back years. While many say the Raiders are a mess right now, the one thing no one mentioned is they have one hell of a defense. (Over their last 7 games they are only giving up 17 points per game and still managed only going 2-5 over that stretch.) Their o-line is terrible and they have no running game, I really see Oakland taking Adrian Peterson or another premier back.
My guess is it will finish out like this:
1) Arizona (2-9, ever sine the lost to Chicago on Monday night it seems like the players have given up on the season, I don't see Arizona winning another game.)
2) Detroit (2-9, tough schedule the rest of the way out with one winnable game vs Green Bay remaining.)
3) Houston (3-8, 3 winnable games remaining on their schedule against Tennessee, Oakland, and Cleveland.)
4) Oakland (2-9, the defense keeps them in about every game, but their offense has been horrid. One winnable game remaining vs Houston and they are capable of beating the NY Jets and St. Louis ((I think Oakland and Cleveland will finish with the same record, but Oakland holds the tie breaker over the two cause of a head to head loss.))
5) Cleveland (3-8, with 2 more potentially winnable games against Tampa/Houston.)
The picks:
1) Arizona - Joe Thomas OT (if they stay, but I really see them trading down, cause Thomas is a reach at 1. I would be surprised if they didn't address their OL early on the draft, but they could consider DEs Adams and Moses.)
2) Detroit - Brady Quinn QB (Millen has been ripped for previous draft blunders, I think he plays it safe this time and picks the best QB on the board.)
3) Houston - Calvin Johnson WR (Their defense is actually playing good this season and while they could go after Thomas if Arizona trades out of number 1, I see them getting a weapon along side Andre Johnson.)
4) Oakland - Adrian Peterson RB (The Raiders have not had an elite back since the late 80s - early 90s with Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen sharing time in the back field. The AFC West is loaded with great backs; LaDanian Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, and any back Denver decides to play behind their OL. With a strong running game, the Raiders could have been a .500 team with how great their defense is. However with Al Davis you never know, he could trade the pick for a QB or a stud on defense, but he will not trade down (he never does) as some have mentioned.)
5) Cleveland - Leon Hall CB (Cleveland is a team I don't know tons about, but from what I know I could definitely see them using some help at CB or potentially taking WR Dwayne Jarret or WR Jeff Samardizja here as they could use a weapon opposite Braylon Edwards.)
