I realize Gemma was essential since killing Tara, but a lot of the BS with her almost seemed unnecessary and was strictly in there because she is Kurt Sutter's wife. Least favorite character on the show, by far.

i would have never predicted Gemma to fake her death. You must have an eye for TV Series bc I could not have predicted that!

I was shocked, I mean SHOCKED when August Marks walked into the club meeting and dropped Gemma's severed head (or what we thought was her severed head) right on the Reaper table. The line of the night from Marks as he drops it - "Now we're even steven".

Was more shocked when it was later revealed that she had paid Marks (with club money no less) for protection and subsequently faked her death so that Jax couldn't catch up with her. I guess if she wants to live the rest of her life in the dark in Oaktown under Mark's protection that's her choice!
