It's Alabama, they have to pay him 8 chickens, 2 cases of moonshine, a 1982 Ford Ranger and a set of Dukes of Hazzard commemorative plates.

don't forget a year's supply of squirrel steaks. Yeah, they actually eat squirrel in Alabama (I lived there back in 2004)

I'm not in the "fire Minter" gang but if he got a head coaching job well...

ND doesn't have to kick him out, they can try to kick him up

I'm just saying....

Yes. Now they have to give him TWO sets of Dukes of Hazzard plates.

Actually, it's still one set of plates but they have to throw in the Daisy Duke framed poster autographed by Catherine Bach as well.

Amato, Shula and Koetter

Maybe they can start up a traffic ticket law firm.
Or maybe move to Miami and become bail bondsmen.
I think Da U has an assistant athletics director position for just that purpose.

I'd like to have Amato as our defensive coordinator.

That would be excellent as well.

I find the yearly coaching carrousel to be very interesting. Last year's was kind of dull. This year has definately started off with a bang with these BCS schools making fires and or hires:

UNC
MSU
Iowa St.
Arizona St.
Alabama
Miami
NC State
Cincinnati

Miami and Bama are the biggest open duo since ND-Florida. Those will be fun to watch. Bama is throwing big names around and it sounds like they have a good shot at Rodriguez. I'm surprised at how quiet the Miami search has been. Then again, I'm not impressed with their administration.

I think Bama could have had Butch Davis had they had the guts to throw out Shula sooner. It all hinged on the Auburn game. Which is a dangerous way to live, but that's southern football for you.

Amato would look perfect on the Rutgers sideline. He'd fit right in. They just need to get him a velvet sweat suit.

Miami will be a very unspectacular hire. I know it's Duh U, but I can't see big name coaches outside of Duh U guys understanding why you'd want a job with insane pressure, horrendous facilities, a bad reputation and a joke administration.

You brought up a good point. They really need to upgrade their facilities. I've heard they are terrible. Definately not befitting a program of their prestige.
