the offense had chances to take a nice lead in to the half. i wont disagree that the d wasnt good enough to hang with usc but mother fucker they gave the offense all the chances you could wish for with a below average d. blocking punts ,ints back to back 3 and outs what the hell the offense imo looked like shit over throws droped balls fumbleing at the fucking 5 yard line how could you expect to win against any team when you commit those type of mistakes i wont argue that the d got beat all day but i put this loss on the o they didnt look like a top 10 offense.

It lies with the O, but only parts of it.

The O-Line did ok, but needs to improve to allow us to run the ball. We need a back who is faster. Those two things are key.

Secondarily, dropped balls killed us.

Thirdly, the receivers need to work to get open a bit more.

Mainly it revolves around our inability to run. Let's face it, USC only put 4-5 up front and dropped the rest into coverage...just like OSU last year.

If we had a running game USC would have been forced to put more guys up front.

your giving them more credit that they deserve (oline) alot of times they were getting pressure with 3 damn people but yea we obviously agree on where the team is and its not good on either side but i still love nd and it probably will get worse and ill be right there cheering them on it has to get better and i really belive it will.

the o-line and the dropped passes were the story for me. The O-line looked good at times, but they gave to pressure in some very key situations and Brady was running for his life at the most inopertune times. And then there were the dropped passes.

The defense certainly didn't play great, but they got 2 picks and a couple of stops. That's all that could've been asked of them. The offense just misfired. The missed opertunites, the fumble by Walker hurt a lot.

No doubt that was a real big part of it....and it was made worse, imo when we couldn't stop them passing. Someone else said they didn't give a shit that we didn't get pressure on their qb....well, like it or not that has a direct bearing on the success of their passing game.
