Well, hopefully McKnight comes to play in the 2nd half because he's letting USC dominate him. Worrying about the safety hitting him, dropping balls hitting him in the hands... it's terrible.

He's never been good on the slant route. That's the one thing he needs to work on.

You can coach Xs and Os all you want, but it boils down to the talent on the field. The Southern Cal linebackers are as fast, if not faster than our running backs. When they're chasing down our runningbacks and wideouts, you know you need some help.

C.J. Gables are a dime a dozen on that Southern Cal team and we've got maybe one or two kids that can match his ability on our roster. It's bad when Brady Quinn has your longest run from the line of scrimmage in quite some time.

Anyhow, we need the defense to come out and stop Southern Cal on the opening drive and then get some more points on the board to bring the game within one score.
