Bad memories but I'd like to ask a question.

What happens if Carlson doesnt tip that pass for a TD?

Where would we be right now?

i'd still be sitting at my computer at work.... just as i am now. no more/less happy than i already am. guessing games won't bring about anything positive, so let's dodge that rocket.

If they shit themselves because of that one play, they didn't deserve to win either way.

The fact that people think that one play started some sort of domino effect on the rest of that game puzzles me still.

They got beat by a better team, plain and simple, that was ready to play.

John Carlson wasn't rushing Henne or covering Manningham.

edit: I meant Manningham.

Better question;

What if someone had actually covered Mario Manningham that day?

even better question:

If there were no endzones, would Manningham have had a 2.5 mile receiving day instead of a 170 yard receiving day?

yeah, the only person that stopped him was that girl in the band he crashed into on one of those touchdowns.

You guys really think a Charlie Weis coached team would have that much psychological damage from just one play that early in the game?

What is more important is winning Saturday and re-establishing the fact that Notre Dame is an elite program again.

A loss is a setback in that regard and will not be a great springboard into a major bowl game.

Michigan is over with.

I had recorded that game and decided to watch it the other day. That got me down.

I'm erasing it and getting ready for positive thoughts about USC@

The officiating in the last minute was bad but the play and play calling was excellent.

It's a shame you can't realize that.

Wait, are you talking about last years USC game or this years UM game?

I was talking about watching this years UM game. That is what got me down. That game sucked to watch again.

I actually agree with the direction you're heading, goldenechoes. Football's a sport of dominos. That bad start, well, it changed the entire dynamic of the game.

I'm not saying we should have won, but every now and then you have to wonder whether there would have been a completely different outcome if it were just played another day.
