As of 11/19, Ohio State and Michigan hold onto their respective spots, at 1 and 2. Michigan didn't drop, which I'm happy about because I don't see USC being better than them at ALL. USC is 3, Florida 4, Arkansas 5, and Notre Dame 6.

I believe these rankings are correct. Michigan does deserve to get OSU in a rematch.

By the way, at the begining of the OSU-Mich game, they stated Michigan has 11 national titles. I thought they had 8.

I don't think they deserve a rematch. They had their chance. They lost. Someone else with 1 loss should get a shot. This "deserve" argument is garbage. It's 100% completely subjective. We can't say for sure Michigan would beat USC. They barely beat Ball State. See, subjective. George Mason wasn't one of the 4 best college basketball teams last year, but they got into the Final Four. Championships are about taking advantage of your shot when it becomes available. Michigan lost. Period.

As of 11/19, Ohio State and Michigan hold onto their respective spots, at 1 and 2. Michigan didn't drop, which I'm happy about because I don't see USC being better than them at ALL. USC is 3, Florida 4, Arkansas 5, and Notre Dame 6.

This is exactly how it should be. Michigan is clearly the #2 team. If that kid Crable did not drill the OSU player out of bounds (and thus continuing the OSU drive) this game could have ended differently.

It was a great game and both teams proved that they are very very very close. Either team would no doubt crush USC or Florida.

"No doubt"? Really? Absolutely, no way or no chance USC or Ark could win? Maybe they should give Ball State another shot, they played Michigan close? Oh, I know, that's totally different because they were "looking past them". Well, looking past opponents isn't exactly the trait of a champion. Anyone who says USC or ARk has no chance and would get crushed by a team that barely withstood Ball St is crazy.

Some work you are jerseyborn. By your spurious logic, Nd should be the least deserving one loss team because they barely beat MSU, UCLA and GTech. Nd has had to come behind so many times this year, unlike so many other 1 loss teams. If you're implying that Nd should vault ahead of Michigan if they beat USC, you are absolutely crazy, and indicative of the neaderthalic Nd fan who thinks everyone is out to get you when it is people like you who are really out to get more deserving teams.

Oh, and did I mention Michigan beat Notre Dame 47-21. There was nothing close about that.

Sorry if that was a vent, but I personally do not endorse a rematch, if possible. But a lot can happen. Arkansas can lose to LSU, Florida can lose to either Arkansas or FSU. And if USC prevails against Nd (likely), they still have to play pesky UCLA on the road. And they haven't played well on the road this year, so that's something to watch out for. That game also has "letdown" written all over it.

Still, I think USC will be in the championship game and we'll end up in the Rose Bowl. Nd will back into a BCS bowl by virtue of other teams (specifically SEC teams) slipping. They'll probably play BC in the Sugar Bowl. Florida will lose again and then moan about how tough an over-rated SEC is and probably advocate a playoff. And so the saga continues.

No doubt.

OSU and UM have very few holes to exploit in their D's or O's. USC has gaping ones. Arkansas has gaping ones.

USC has been blessed with a schedule designed to win. Their 4 toughest opponents are at home. 2 of their toughest opponents (Cal and Oregon) were very over-rated. And they played Arkansas against the QB who has ridden the pine the rest of the season.

So, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that OSU or UM would crush USC or Arkansas.

By the way, USC has already beaten #6 Arkansas(SEC Championship game), Nebraska(possible Big 12 Championship game), a Top 10 ranked CAL, & Oregon. an still have to play #5 ND. They have a Top 5 ranked schedule.

UM has beaten ND. Who else? Iowa? Please. Penn St? MSU? Ball State? Vandy?Who?

Well, we beat Wisconsin pretty easily, and they have an outside chance of being the 3rd B10 team to participate in a BCS game, if the SEC games go the right way for them. Keep in mind that OSU did not have to play Wisconsin (and of course that means Wisconsin didn't have to play OSU). Nd hasn't beaten anyone yet, maybe GTech (who's cruising in a down ACC conference this year).

There are no certainties in anything. I think this debate is headed towards the wrong direction because it's about PROBABILITY instead of certainty. The question is which team has the best chance of defeating OSU. If a one-loss Florida team emerges, then I think it's them. With respect to USC, they will very likely lose to OSU, but I guess we had our chance so I could at least tolerate that, though I really want to beat USC after what happened in the Rose Bowl in 2003. But USC has without question (I think) the toughest schedule in the country. Their problem is that they lost to an unranked Oregon State team, which gives some of our supporters the ammo that we lost to a much better team. USC has not had to do much on the road either, except for the Arkansas win. And finally, I guess you can make the argument that a rematch would be more balanced on a neutral field.

You are entitled to your opinion. But in the NC game UM or OSU would not overlook a USC.

As I noted before, USC beat an Arkansas team led by a guy who has thrown 1 pass since that game.

#19 Nebraska? The team who's biggest win is Texas A&M? And who lost to unranked 6-5 OkState? Ah yes, I remember them. Being Big12 champ this year is like being the smartest kid on the short bus. Given the company you are doing well...but compared to the rest of the world...

Cal was not Top10 ranked...they WERE 17. Today they are 22.

Oregon? Unranked and 7-4 after being blown out by 6-5 Arizona.

So basically, USC beat two low ranked teams (#19 and #22). And they lost to UNRANKED Oregon State. Whoopee.

UM beat #5 ND and #9 Wisconsin. And their one loss was by 3 points to the #1 team in the country.
