Missouri being ranked 29th tells a lot.
Who is this state you speak of?

Yeah if UGA would have been ahead of us that would have been a damn shame.
The only poll that matters comes out Tuesday
Nothing the team can do about ranking but just keep winning from here on out.
To be honest, ND still controls their destiny. Only 2 teams that are guaranteed spots are the SEC champs and Florida State (assuming they win out). Oregon and Michigan State are ahead for now, but that will change if ND wins out. ND's loss is a lot better looking than Oregon's or MSU's. Way I see it panning out:
1) Florida State
2) SEC Champ (Probably Mississippi State or Georgia)
3) Notre Dame
4) Oregon or 1-loss SEC west team.
The Big XII officially pulled their name out of contention. No undefeated team means no playoffs for them. They needed Baylor to win out, and no championship game makes thing even worse. Only chance for the B1G is Sparty to win out, but ND will still get the nod over them via SoS. The Pac-12 is on very thin ice as well. Oregon winning out is their only hope.
ND at 11-1 with their one loss, a road defeat to the defending national champs via late game home cookin', would trump MSU, who got throttled by Oregon, or Oregon, who lost at home to an unranked Arizona squad.
Just a side note, Texas A&M is really showing off the depth and superiority of the SEC aren't they?...
I'm surprised by how little we dropped, honestly. I think that for as heartbreaking the game was for us, who have been watching this team closely and knew that it was the real deal, it was an eye opener for the rest of the country.
The Irish didn't just hang with Florida State, they punched them in the fuhking mouth. We out-gained them, dominated both lines of scrimmage, and came within 2 yards and a close call of knocking them down. You could hear the ESPN crew changing their tone as the game went on, and I think the rest of the country finally saw what we've known all along: these Irish can play with the best of them.

As I've been saying, the safest bet for ND now is further cannibalization in the sec. One team win out, and the rest have 2 losses is the best bet.
Sidenote on michigan state-- there are those out there nationally (granted, not playoff voters) that don't believe the big 10 champ can make the playoff over ND, fsu, pac-12 champ, big xii champ. The winner simply won't have enough quality wins.
Does the committee give out a ranking? If so when?
Still think we shoulda been ahead of Oregon. They lost to a 1 loss team outside of the top 10, we lost to a top 2 undefeated team. However, they also destroyed a 1 loss top 10 team. Maybe that's where they get the bump.
IMO, win out and we're good. The teams in front of us include:
Ole Miss & Miss State who still have to play each other.
Bama and Auburn still have to play each other. Both have a loss.
Miss State still has to play Bama.
Ole Miss has to play Auburn.
Some of the ND haters (they tend to hate on B1G too) finally started voting for ND. Drew Sharp had ND at #9. I guess ND proved they were decent yesterday. If you listened to the ESPN announcers, they kept praising how well ND played along the line and was winning in the trenches. They completely did not believe ND was legitimately good along the line.
D-Line had shown flashes of it, but the O-Line hadn't.
TBH, I was surprised at how good we looked. I've been in "wait and see" mode. I'm totally buying in now. This is a freaking good team.
Just imagine next year
