So tell me...Lousiville BEATS WVU. Rutgers BEATS Louisville.
WVU gets ranked the highest?
What the hell is that about?

Its because WVU is so overrated that if they don't keep them up there, there would be no justification to why they were ranked so high to begin with.
wow, that is crap....
It's not like I am from New Jersey or a fan of Rutgers...but WOW...that's just blatant BAD POLLING.
Rutgers kept the Louisville offense out of the end zone for over 30 minutes. They put up 28...they won in a dog fight and played their hearts out. WVU coasts over crappy teams, then LOSES to another mediocre team, and they get ranked higher?
I call Bullshit.
Hey wvu is my second favorite team and I think its crap...
I think WVU, Louisville and Rutgers all deserve to be in the top 15 though.. they are all good teams that deserve to be right behind Ohio st and michigan, two teams that actually have accomplished something this year. Mich. crushed us at home and OSU crushed UT at UT and won every other game. Really other than that you cannot make a legitimate claim for anyone over anyone. It really shows an elitest attitude to think that the BE teams do not deserve to be ranked high.
Not elitist...it's just schedule. They have insanely easy schedules.
If you don't agree, then I would love to hear why Boise State is not ranked as high as Rutgers...
That mighta carried some weight in past years, but not this season.Louisville crushed, crushed Miami
Oh shit, here we go, I sense the beginning of a Big East Conference bash session approaching. I am sitting this one out.
That mighta carried some weight in past years, but not this season.
Because Miami THIS year does not in any way live up to the reputation of Miami of past years. Simple as that. It's about as impressive as beating a Willingham or Davie ND team.y? I guess crushing a rivals 5 star loaded team with a second team RB and QB isn't impressive?
I think Rutgers beats WVU....really, I do. They proved they can shutdown a good offense and their defense is loads better than Louisvilles. No reason they can't win. The ONLY reason I've really heard anyone put forward is that the game's on the road. It's going to be really interesting when West Virginia beats Rutgers and no one has a clue where to put anyone.
Let's do it this way, who deserves to be a head of these one loss BE teams and why? Please reference their schedules. I'll give you these three OSU, Mich and I guess Florida but I think they are overated as well. But other than that who?
If we look at who's below WVU, I see a few that should move up...
Wisconsin should be ahead of WVU and Louisville. They have played a solid schedule...with some tougher teams and done well. I would even put Auburn ahead of them...they have more quality wins.
WVU has beaten TWO teams with Winning records: Maryland and East Carolina.
None of the rest have winning records.
WVU is VASTLY over-rated.

And WTF does Rivals have to do with how good a team is? If you want to go by that, then I guess Rutgers blows because they're not loaded with Rivals 5 star players?
I think that's pretty much why the rankings fell this way. WVU, to start the season, was ranked high because pollsters thought they'd finish high because their schedule was so easy. It was a prediction, not a ranking. And now they're ranked higher than Rutgers because pollsters think they'll beat Rutgers. Which is probably true.
That said it's a horrible way to run a poll, and pollsters way too high "prediction ranking" of WVU almost ruined the national championship matchup. Louisville got jumped all the way to 3rd just on the strength of beating WVU, who was ranked too high. Luckily Rutgers got them, or we'd have been stuck with Louisville getting a berth in the championship.
So you name two teams, two teams!!!! So that puts them fifth. What are we arguing about, I think the should be like ninth.
... the Louisville win at KSU looks better now. Although Texas was also overrated, so maybe not.
