Surprised no one on here cares. Rutgers seems to pose a new real threat for NJ talent.

Regardless of how it affects the Dome. Rutgers earned my respect, tonight.

There's already an entire thread on this in which most members of the forum are posting. You know about this, because you've posted in it. In fact, you posted this exact same sentiment in that thread. But now since you started a fresh thread, I'll repost my response to your old post.

"How do you figure? ND already has the best handful of players from Jersey this year, and Rutgers will lose in Cinci, in WV, or both.

Again- patience. This is as bad as pundits spending all week debating whether or not Louisville would get passed over for the BCS title game. "Hey, fellas! They got a game in Jersey on Thursday!" Rutgers will in all likelihood finish with a great season (especially by their standards) but it will probably finish 15th or so. ND in a "disappointing" year is still ranked ahead of Rutgers in its miracle year. We're not losing any foothold in NJ."

Ok well I have already replied to this also, and I totally understand where you are coming. Rutgers winning against Louisville puts one more school in play for those top tier in-state NJ guys. They have a creditable option not far from home now. It does makes things more challenging as far as future recruiting guys. Luckily, Charlie can always give them a little bit of that NJ attitude if they come to ND and ever get homesick.

Heh. Don't forget, Clotho's the same guy who claimed West Virginia would rush for twice the yardage against Notre Dame that Navy did, without bothering to first check the stats and see that West Virginia was only rushing for 8 more yards a game than Navy at the time. He loves to shoot first and ask questions later.

Up until now, Ralphwaldoemerson was the only name to ever grace my Ignore List. Congratulations, Clotho, as of right now, you're the second. Debate is one thing. Spirited or even heated debate still has its place. But your goal seems to be nothing but sheer antagonism in and of itself. Your posts consistently contribute nothing to my evenings except a sense of growing annoyance. I get enough annoyance out of my job, which I least get paid for, so your presense in my mental awareness is no longer welcome.

That really is about the least logical post I've ever read here. West Virginia, though I don't think they're a great team (great offense, not great team), is infinitely more talented, offensively, than Navy. Has infinitely better runners. Navy tore ND's D up on the ground, and that with no threat of a passing attack. There's no reason at all to think that WVU wouldn't run for many more yards than Navy did against ND.

If that post is what you consider so stupid that you remember it this much later, maybe you need to look in the mirror. Because that post was perfectly sensible. What's NOT is saying that because Navy rushes for only 8 fewer yards a game than WVU, they're anywhere near as potent an offense on the ground. As if statistics exist in a vacuum. Hey, by your logic, Hawaii is the best passing offense in the world. I guess they'd tear up anyone they played. It has nothing to do with competition and style of play, right?

WVU and Navy are not comparable, talent wise. They're equal in their discipline on offense, but WVU has much better runners. They would tear our D up. I'm glad you'll be ignoring my posts, it'll save me that many stupid things to be tempted to respond to.

Then certainly you'll be unable to read that I think you're functionally retarded, and a jackass. Good that you can't read that. It's information better kept from you.

Schiano would be wise to stay there. He could build something special. To leave Rutgers right now for Miami would be a major career mistake on his part.

He's got the Florida ties from his days at Miami and he can keep some of the NJ kids home, though maybe not the elite ones just yet.

Tremendous team defensive and scheme.

Schiano has been building this team for 6 years. Rutgers is not an overnight success. This guy has a serious plan. Look at his recruiting, marketing and performance of the team. Steadily improving. He's building something pretty big in NJ and all the "experts" and football snobs are ignoring it.
