This is Aldridge's best day. On the big gain he should have been tackled in the backfield but he dodged the defender.

Thats why I love his running style over Walker, he runs North-South and puts his head down and goes, doesn't dance around.

The d played pretty well, except for a couple plays. 31 on the ground and about 210 threw the air

Exactly.

All things considered, we played well. This team isn't overly talented (nor deep) on the defensive side of the ball and the way our offense scores rapidly, our defense ends up being on the field for a major portion of the game.

Would you rather have 21-17 games or 45-26 games? I said it again after the GT game and I'll say it again... our talent from front to back of our roster is NOT Top 20. We have no business being as good as we are... but we are because of coaching and our offensive skill position players. Without Quinn, this team could very well be 3-6 or 4-5, not 8-1.

I'll take every victory, because at the end of the game, the team with the most points is considered the victor. 45-26... 63-56... I don't care. JUST WIN BABY!

Couple of thoughts:

-Horrible defensive effort in the third quarter. Lambert looked like he did against Manningham and scUM. Bad.

-Tom Zbikowski takes a punt back for 6. Haven't seen him do anything in two months.

-Notre Dame has the best tight end in college football.

-Notre Dame has the best quarterback in college football.

-Front four did a wonderful job. O Line still gets too many holding penalties. The second one on Santucci I found questionable.

-Are Walls and McNeil done playing this year?

-James Aldridge, your table is ready.

- Darius Walker, you're still the man

-Congrats to Jeff Samardzija. Derrick Mayes in one of my all time favs. So are you kid.

-I scored Army tickets today.

after a cool down and looking at the game stats i was a bit harsh on ND's D today. They did a good job except in that 3rd quarter. Would like to see a complete game out of them before the year is over. Be interesting to see what happens in the polls this week. This next game scares me a lot. They better get come ready to play next saturday and learn to wrap people up.

And I'm wondering the same thing jigga. Where the hell are Walls and McNeil?

Look for USC and Cal both to be ranked ahead of us in the BCS this week, given the fact that they beat common opponents by larger margins.

Looks to me like:
1 OSU
2 UM
3 Louisville
4 Fla
5 Auburn
6 Texas
7 USC
8 Cal
9 ND

We will be stagnant until we figure out how to avoid letting horrible teams stay with us.
