This is an incredibly difficult question to answer. Before our showdown with them on November 25. Here's their schedule:

Oregon State (home)
at Stanford
Oregon (home)
Cal (home)

I don't think so. But I certainly hope so. I see Cal beating them.

Right now, I say none. Their hardest games are at home and they'll be ready for the Cal game as it will be hyped-up. Most teams don't play their best against cupcakes and USC is no exception. But their offense is out of sync, so they don't win by nearly as great a margin as they had last season.

Still, they find a way to win, and their defense is pretty talented.

And to answer the question someone is bound to ask, yes, I do know it is technically possible for USC to lose 4 games.....but reality suggests Stanford has absolutely no shot. So, that's why it isn't an option.

Cal will beat them assuming all major personnel on each team are healthy for the game.

I think Cal will win as well, but much like the Michigan game for ND, I have a tough time forgetting the Tennessee game.

For every year there was a USC football team, there was a Cal team that was supposed to beat them :)

People talk this way lately because Cal was the only team this millenium to defeat them. That's where the streak started and blah blah blah.

I see SC this year and Cal this year, there is a legit chance.

But it is in L.A., which could ultimately sway a tight game into SC's favor.

This team is going to lose at least once before ND goes out there. I think Oregon's offense could give them a lot of problems. That QB they have is pretty good and can move around.

I think USC will win in typical USC fashion. By that I mean it will be a close game, and then the officials will determine the outcome.

It's sad to say, but the PAC-10 tries so hard to obtain some level of legitimacy amongst the other major conferences, that I think its officiating will help most the team that has the best chance to go all the way.

Cal will beat them if the JANITOR plays. They are driven by passion and hate this year... Cal will whoop USC out of pure meanness.

Then they will lose the rest of their games. ;)

I crack up each time I read a WVU or LOU fan saying USC is barely winning while their team is rolling over teams. USC has played a tough schedule. Sagarin has USC's schedule 14 -15 points harder than LOU or WVU, Two TDs!.

SCs weakest opponent was #69 Arizona. WVU's toughest opponent was #52 Maryland rated 4 points tougher than Arizona. LOU's toughest opponent was #63 Miami rated LESS than a point tougher than Arizona.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt06.htm

Sagarin ranks CAL and USC neck and neck on by Team Rating and Opponents. On his Predicator rating Sagarin has CAL about 5 points over USC on a neutral field.

USC '06 isn't playing to the level of '04 or '05 I suspect USC despite the personnel losses and reloading that they have been playing to the level of their competition. Carroll will pump them up enough for the Bears.

i'll say one loss to Cal, but remember Cal did get their asses kicked by Tennesse.

Booty and the playcalling aren't very good, its evident USC misses Chow's playcalling now that Leinart, and Bush are gone.

Consider Tennessee an abberation.

I am NO FAN of Cal...but they are not the same team now that they were then.

Now, we all know that Cal has the skills and talent to upset USC. They are a very physical team, with a very explosive offense. Cal is only one team that USC needs to watch out for, though. Oregon will also be a tough test. Dixon, Oregon's quarterback, is a scrambler and reaks havoc once he gets in the zone. I believe that if Dixon is mobile enough, Oregon will be able to beat USC. The Trojans don't always play extremely well against mobile QB's, which is something I believe will be towards Oregon's advantage.

Undefeated and ranked #2 going into the Notre Dame game. We beat them 48-17, and Quinn throws for 6 touchdowns. Troy Smith chokes against Michigan, throwing 3 pics and fumbling twice. Quinn is handed the Heisman, and ND prepares for a showdown with Michigan on January 8th. Hopefully.
