Lamar was on the radio in Orlando today. He was being interviewed by a radio host who played with him at UM. You can imagine how that went.

1. He was "obviously" kidding about fighting in the tunnel and going down on the elevator.
2. He is fine with being the "scapegoat" for duh U
3. Both said they don't condone what happened and then proceed to talk about how they liked everything except swinging the helmet. Neither had a problem with stomping the FIU guy while he was down. That's what happens if you're on the bottom of the pile. If you're on top, what are you supposed to do? Just run away? (Actually guys, yeah, you're supposed to just walk away)
4. Several minutes about how they won 5 championships and 58 games in a row at the OB back in the frigging 1800's. And people say ND lives in the past.
5. More talk about how if you talked trash to their Canes team, you got your ass kicked...but they never started it. Maybe once, against (you guessed it) Notre Dame. BUt only because ND disrespected them. Remember, these are grown men.
6. Discussed how they beat Brian Bosworth's ass, but again only because he attacked them. Really? Bosworth attacked two guys?
7. Finished with how proud they are of being a part of the UM program.

The best part was a few minutes later when a caller told the host the two of them sounded like "Shallow Hal"-the guy that was hypnotized to think his fat girlfriend was hot.

And the most horrifying fact of it all is that the people in charge have embraced the entire concept and have done NOTHING to change it.

Dan Silio was going crazy today on the radio again. Alumni of duh U live in a dream world. Today he was literally yelling at the listeners and telling them they sickened him and he can't understand where they would get the idea that the Miami program is full of thugs. He actually tried to claim they have no history of showing any kind of truly thuggish behavior. He blamed the media for creating the stereotype that duh U players are thugs. His point? "People are piling on now and are calling for the program to be dropped because they're tired of duh U kicking their ass". Good point...in 1987. He also said he had no idea that so many people from all over the country hated duh U so much just because duh U was so good for so long. Welcome to ND's world Dan.
