I still want to know when and where, in sports/athletic culture, this shimmy hopping on the fifty yard line logo and flag planting became acceptable behavior.

I want to find the people that did it first and have Albert Haynsworth kick them in the groin as hard as possible.

Two LOSER teams full of @ssholes. Neither one will be playing in a bowl game this year.

Enjoy basketball season.

Personally, I hope that MSU never lives this flag planting thing down. I hope that every team (excluding ND of course...we have some class and the whole irony of it) attempts the flag plant right smack in the middle of Sparty's S. I don't care if its Temple or Ohio State, plant the flag and give Sparty a tatse of their own medicine...over and over again.

A virtual "thugfest" on the field approaching an all out riot while the public announcer is beseeching everyone to "PLEASE......................drive home safely".
Funny.

For all of the flaming they get on this board, I doubt Ohio State would ever do something like this. Nor would Michigan or Wisconsin or Iowa.

Maybe is MSU played with the same intensity they showed fending off the flag plant they might have won the game. I'm all for other teams showing up MSU and that silly coach, but Illini should show some class like they have been there.... Oh Wait.

Yeah. I can't see OSU doing something like that. For all their off the field problems and obnoxious fans, they are not the flag planting type on the field.

We'll, if you have a head coach that condons it on national TV not once, but twice I'm not sure where these kids get the idea that it's ok. Just think if CW went on TV and condoned this. It would make headline news and people would be clamoring for his head. For John L. "we'll you know he's a charcter". What???

I was merely using them as an example of a top team. I think that a number of teams in the NCAA have enough respect not to do something like that. However, I would let tthem slide if they do/did it to MSU.

So far this year, the flag planting came back and bit MSU in the ass.

The logo stomping didn't work so hot for "Da U" against Louisville either.

I'd say it's time to cut the hully gully, American Bandstand, Soul Train dancing crap and just play ball. The taunting just ain't working out. Karma has it's way of finding folks.
