They're supposed to be horrible for your long-term health, but I've been on a high protein (~250 grams a day) diet for a year now and have seen awesome results. I'll lower the protein one day to avoid any long-term problems, but for now I've been seeing crazy gains in the gym and won't stop for a little longer lol

My diet is pretty much the same every day:

Breakfast: 5 egg whites, 2.5 servings of protein cereal
Morning snack: protein shake and apple or banana
Lunch: chicken breast with veggies
Afternoon snack: protein shake and apple or banana
Post-gym: protein shake
Dinner: chicken or turkey or fish with 2-3 servings of veggies
Before bed: protein shake

I used to have a sloppy diet, but I started this last June and was down 15 pounds in 2 months while still seeing gains in the gym. I can't really take any supplements like Isagenix cause I have a this slight heart issue (nothing life-threating, but I'm just very cautious of what I put in my body apart from alcohol), but I really think diet is 90% of the battle.

Is this you?

Lol, jk. Good for you man. I have no doubt that your diet would work, but I couldn't afford and keep up with it! I agree with you that diet is 90% of the battle.

Sorry buddy, I don't really have time right now to go to in depth. Check out Marksdailyapple.com, or mercola.com, or just google good fat vs bad fat and do some research if you are interested. The fat/cholesterol in an egg is natural and our body uses it, won't hurt you. The problem w/ our diet is the man made "fake" fats in processed food, and SUGAR they increase inflammation in your body, which is what ultimately does the damage often blamed on natural fats found in eggs/quality meat etc.

If you want to do one thing to be healthier, decrease your sugar intake. BUT don't replace it w/ processed "sugar free" garbage. Replace it w/ whole veggies/good fats/etc. Will help you more than any other singular change.

haha I'll mix up my diet with alcohol on the weekends or I'll binge-eat for a few days at a time so I'm not quite on White Goodman's level.

I haven't tried the isagenix product but I've been taking the advocare product for about 2 months now. There is a 24 day challenge "cleanse" and then I've been taking the Spark drink twice a day with the MNS 3. I'm down about 27 lbs from 217 to 190. I feel great. The spark drink is awesome. It's for energy and mental focus.

My wife got into it a while back and I thought it was just another bullshit fad. At this point I can honestly say that it has been a great benefit to both of us. I feel better, She feels better, We have MOAR SEX which makes me a happy husband and much more willing and proactive to make her a happy wife.

Gentlemen spark your wives and you won't go wrong... LOL.

Welcome to AdvoCare – the official site of AdvoCare products.

If you get interested and are looking for a distributor give me a shout via PM.

^^^^Bingo. Koon, the less food products you eat with an ingredient list the better off you are. Good fat versus bad fat. Good cholesterol versus bad cholesterol. Good sugars vs bad sugars.

I switched from eating lean pockets, frozen, foods, fast food and sodas to eating salads with oil-based dressing, hummus, whole grain, fruits, vegetables, tons of water and protein shakes. I dropped 80 points on my cholesterol in one year and my gut revolts when I eat anything close to a food product. My rule of thumb is garbage in = garbage out.

If it has more than three ingredients on the box, I do my best to find something else.

Never heard of that but it looks like it's worth experimenting with. What do you do with it?

I was considering taking rice and pinto beans and making a weeks-worth like GoIrish41 said, and then just heating it up with a burrito/salsa/cheese/taco sauce/lettuce everynight. Not too much work, cheap, relatively health, and would taste good.

I use it anywhere I would otherwise use rice. Huge fiber and protein compared to similar grains.
