He already proved himself to me against St.. whatever... last Friday.
But I still havn't seen him take a hit. And that's what I'm most interested in; the guy is one of the most talented passers I've ever seen....I hate to add to the hype, but in terms of accuracy, he's almost certainly better off than Brady right now. He has a quicker release than anyone in the NCAA right now.. he has a quicker release than a lot of the guys in the NFL.
And most importantly, he's got great vision.
I don't want to see him get hit, but I do want to see how he'd react.. those are two contradicting statements, but that's where I'm coming from. I probably won't get the opportunity, but I'd also like to see how he'd play when his team is down late in the game (okay, I admit, that's not going to happen).
But the biggest problem for Jimmy will be whether he can establish himself as the leader of this ND football team next year---assuming he wins the QB battle; there are going to be a lot of older guys on this team who will be annoyed by how much publicity he's getting. So he'll have to win over the guys who have been alienated.
