Yeah, tonight is a pretty good night for football. First Auburn-South Carolina, then Jimmy. You can't ask for much more from a Thursday.

He already proved himself to me against St.. whatever... last Friday.

But I still havn't seen him take a hit. And that's what I'm most interested in; the guy is one of the most talented passers I've ever seen....I hate to add to the hype, but in terms of accuracy, he's almost certainly better off than Brady right now. He has a quicker release than anyone in the NCAA right now.. he has a quicker release than a lot of the guys in the NFL.

And most importantly, he's got great vision.

I don't want to see him get hit, but I do want to see how he'd react.. those are two contradicting statements, but that's where I'm coming from. I probably won't get the opportunity, but I'd also like to see how he'd play when his team is down late in the game (okay, I admit, that's not going to happen).

But the biggest problem for Jimmy will be whether he can establish himself as the leader of this ND football team next year---assuming he wins the QB battle; there are going to be a lot of older guys on this team who will be annoyed by how much publicity he's getting. So he'll have to win over the guys who have been alienated.

I will look for the same way he played against St. Boneventure but he needs to throw 4 or 5 TD's tonight. I'll be watching. I wish Oaks Christian had some under center stuff not Shot Gun every play I want Jimmy to get used to playing under center as well as shot gun because that'll help when he starts as a freshman.

I doubt it. It's in the bottom of the 7th...we should be fine.

But it does sound like another reason to be pissed off with the Yankees.. so it might very well happen.

He Is As Good As They Say...

He Is As Good As They Say...

Being from the same geographic area as Oaks Christian, I have had a chance to see this kid Jimmy Clausen. He is every bit as good as they are saying. He is poised and polished. He has a genuine command of the field when he is on it. Quick release, comfortable both in and out of the pocket. I saw him last week against St Boniventure (the school Michael Williams is from), he was in the process of going down...and still release a 'bullet strike' to his receiver...18 yards down field! He is good. Game is on...

Tyler just busted off a nice TD run. To bad he is going to USC.

I am feeling that he is not 100% USC bound? Locally there is strong talk...

rdrdreamer, any news on Tyler's grade situation? Has he done what he needs to do to get his grades where they need to be?

That first long pass he completed on the rollout was a nice pass. Most QB's are not that accurate that far down the field while on the run.

I like that little jr. that's running the ball for Venice.

Can you say 4 year starter, multiple trips to new york city to pick up that beatiful hardware, and a few national championships! He is going to be amazing with that gold helmet on!

I was worried about his head. Not anymore.
He looks like a great leader.

That Oregon Duck commit looks good out there. Two interceptions already.

If his 4th and 5th string WRs could catch, they'd be up 35-0 right now.

Tylers academic situation is not really a topic over here...in SoCal, the discussion is really about his athletic skills. My feeling is this...only a feeling; USC is over recruiting on Running Backs/Full Backs. They want Tyler of course...who doesn't? But can he really withstand sharing the field? The other backs currently at SC are pretty darn good.

But Notre Dame is one great running back away from another championship!!! We have the QB of the future, possibly the wide outs to compliment him...just a running back to go with our current freshmen backs (letsnot forget Schmitt)...
