Is everyone convinced that Clausen will be the starter right off the bat?? I really don't have any strong thoughts, but I could see Sharpley starting for one year or even a half year to ease jimmy into it.

Some are, some aren't. None of us know, really. The four of them will compete for it. It will be very interesting.

Like a cold beer on a hot day bud, feels great. It is really unreal how deep with talent we will be at nearly every position other than D-line... I'm even looking for a strong close there with barksdale, blackwell..

Tomorrow is huge though..

Looking at the OLine we may need all 4 QB as starters. I don't care how high the OLs were ranked. It takes time to build an OL and it takes time to build an OLine. Look how much the current group has struggled in the first two games.

Sharpley's the starter til he screws up or somebody beats him out. We'll know more in October and November.

If Clausen, even as a frosh, can't beat out Sharpley, I'd be surprised. Clausen is older than the average freshman, will be an early enrollee (right?), and is the "best high school QB in years." He had better be able to win the job off the bat. I really don't like the idea of a stop gap year where Sharpley starts, and THEN you have to spend another year having Clausen get used to playing. That's two years gone. Start him next year and see what happens.
