The University of Arkansas received the first verbal commitment for the class of 2008. Offensive lineman Matt Hall, (6-10, 320 pounds) from Dardanelle, Ark. gave his pledge to the Razorbacks after the Hogs were defeated by USC. Hall is listed by Scout.com on the Top 100 Juniors Watch List.

"I have just always grew up wanting to be a Razorback and am sure what I want to do so there was really no reason to wait," Matt Hall told Dudley Dawson of Scout.com's Hawgs Illustrated.
