ASU has a mobile senior qb, in their place, bad blood from us trying to cancel the game... USC, until proven otherwise, is a really tough out every year... Stanford is still a good, but minus 4 OL, both RB's, Trent Murphy AND Shayne Skov don't scare me like they used to... UM - we've had more talent for years, we've got better coaches, Denard is long gone, and our QB situation finally settled. It's time. Same goes for Navy and Purdue- this is the year we take that step IMO.

Schedule is likely NOT going to be as tough as it appears for several reasons.

1)---Louisville with the coaching changes and the loss of bridgewater is simply not going to be a strong team compared to this seasons version.

2)--Stanford just loses a ton on defense including the two playmaking LBs and of course Gaffney who has been their running game for two years. They seem RIPE for a major step down.

3)_ USC is still struggling with the roster--they also have a bundle of early defections to the draft--plus we get them at the end of the year when the depth problems they have will likely be worse. They are still a year or two away from being consistent.

4)---MSU not on the schedule replaced by Louisville ---that's a net gain.

5)--Northwestern is a bit of a basketcase after their collapse this season---they lose their best defensive player and mostly ALL their confidence--going to be a while before they recover from 2013.

6)--Rice/Purdue/Syracuse/Navy/UNC----none of that looks all that challenging and our nemesis PITT joins MSU as gone!

7)---ASU may be good but we handled them with REES--our offense will be much better they will likely be about the same.

8)---Michigan they could win ONE game and it would be against us, that said we get them at home with a mountain of motivation--have to like our chances against another nemesis team for us---

FSU--that's the game--I think there is a decent chance that game may be for a spot in the tournament----looks like a no win situation in the panhandle against a team that's rolling with the hiesman QB--but that's why they play the games.

ONLY FSU seems to be an insurmountable obstacle---

Schedule looks to be horrific but with a closer look it may not be the beast it looks like from a glance---could be easier then 2013 --deceptively easier.

Stepfan Taylor? Gaffney didn't even have a rush in 2012.

Wut.

A while before Northwestern recovers?? Teams put it together every year, look at Auburn. Northwestern is poised for a breakout sooner rather than later.

Did you just list three or four bowl-winning teams in your batch of "not all that challenging"?

Arizona State returns basically everyone on offense, you can't give Notre Dame credit for improving and not give them the same treatment. Their offense might be outstanding.

I think we go 11-1 with a loss to FSU.
Louisville will drop significantly
scUM should be an easy win, but its goddamn Michigan...
ASU could be dangerous, especially on the road.
