Not judging but you would have more devotion to a certain player rather than a team?
I've struggled with the same question. To me, Peyton was the Colts. He did about as much as any player could do for a franchise, and a city. My love for the Colts has not faded, but my love for Peyton as a player, and a human being remains. I thought if anyone would retire a Colt, it would be Peyton. $#!+ happens, but it's a situation that has tormented a good portion of Colts fans. Would you believe that Peyton's Denver jersey outsold Luck's jersey the year he left.
I weigh the following...
1. Who stands the better chance to win the SB?
2. What means more, Peyton getting a second SB before he retires, or Luck getting his first (with a long career ahead of him).
I do believe Denver has the best chance to win a SB. I also think it means more for PM to win a 2nd (in the grander scheme of things), then for Luck to win his first. Luck has a lot of time left and will have better supporting players in the near future.
