I don't think there would ever be a time when I would vote for Ohio State.

Technically, it's in our strategic interest to hope for an O$U win, as they are more likely to lose another game on their schedule (Michigan or Iowa).. but I hate O$U sooooooo much.

agreed, Texas won't lose again if they don't lose this game. Big 12 is terrible. Colorado loses to a IAA school, Oklahoma in a close one with UAB at home, Nebraska.......... are you kidding me. Texas A&M would be the only chance and that's a long shot.

Let's go Bucks
Barf!
I gotta go get the finger out of my throat now guys!

Is there any chance they could tie 0-0 and then their probation officers decide the winner ?!?

OSU without a doubt...

If Texas wins this, they will go undefeated. If OSU wins they could easily lose later...

The best outcome is OSU trouncing Texas and then losing to scUM.

So then it's win-win!

If OSU beats UTx and then loses in Big 10 play. #1 is open. IF OSU wins out, ND gets to meet them in a rematch.

I cant get behind a shadey program like OSU, even if it might help us down the road. I would rather ND keep winning games and determine its own future than to vote for the buckholes.

Brilliant point--the probation officers will be busy! Still...if I had to choose UT over O$U...I'm going with the Long Horns only because I hate Ohio State. I'm still glad that UT beat USC last year for the championship---call it leftover goodwill.

I can see how its in ND's strategic interest to root for tOSU in this one, but I just can't. I just hate tOSU so much this year b/c I'm so sick of hearing about how great they are b/c of the Fiesta Bowl last year. I think they're so overrated this season, it sickens me. Especially when all I hear from the talking heads on the 4-letter network is how overrated Notre Dame is this year, yet they don't even mention tOSU's defense (which lost 9 friggin starters in the offseason!) gave up nearly 300 combined yards to a midget running back last Saturday.

Not to mention, I'm w/ Southbend62, I sitll have some leftover goodwill for Texas from the Rose Bowl last year too. Hook 'em horns.

Nicely played, Yoda.
You would think that Ohio State goose-steps onto the field the way the hate flows around here.

Ok ok, in either of those scenarios, I guess I'd have to root for tO$U. Now if it were Michigan vs. either of those teams....

Hard to say. Again, I might hope for a tie!

I hear both teams will be running a no-huddle ofense on Saturday. It seems as if part of their probation prevents them from hanging out with known felons ! (sorry, old joke from the Dallas Cowboys days but still a good point!)

When Ohio State plants a flag at midfield in South Bend, beats Notre Dame three times in a row by 31 or blows ND out 38-0 in Columbus and somehow manages to get to the schedule on an annual basis, come talk to me.

I channel my hate into other outlets.

Impossible to pull for OSU (was present at IU when OSU fans stormed the field and tore down the goalposts.....unbelievable) However, UT will run the table if they don't go down. OSU won't go through the Big 10 unscathed.

just can't bring myself to root for OSU. Don't think I've ever rooted for OSU, even when they play Michigan I always root for Michigan(if we beat Michigan, and Michigan goes on to beat OSU it helps our SOS)

If Troy Smith goes out and has a solid game, and beats Texas he will certainly be the odds on favorite to win the Heisman. Quinn has a potential undefeated USC at the end of the year to showcase his game. If OSU loses this game it would go a long way to helping Quinn win the Heisman.

this hurts

this hurts

I hate to root for dirty tressel, but The PAC 10 is probably stronger then the big 12. Actually the MAC is as strong as the big 12. Ok Montana could be in the big 12. Anyway OSU needs to win(big10 is tough they will likely lose a game) so we can get to number 1 quicker maybe then we will learn how to play like a top ranked team.

Go Irish !!!!!!!!!!

If O$U loses, I would love it if someone made a video compilation of the game with the "I had a bad day" song as the theme.

to bad that didnt pan out :D

good win for you guys today, really stuck it to PSU and JoePa. At this rate, Quinn and Smith will be meeting in New York.

Well, I didn't think it would. I told all of my friends---who are all OSU fans---that by this point in our lives we should understand that in big games, freshmen quarterbacks just don't win.
