I'm praying that the kicker was just nervous and that he'll calm down in the upcoming games. If ND has to rely on scoring just touchdowns, we could be in trouble.

yeah, the kickoff man bobby renkes is really good. he's actually a walk-on and grew up on my street in dallas. good kid. great booming leg.

Yes sir...I have to agree with everyone about the placekicker. If he doesn't get his head on straight and start putting some away with confidence, we could have a lot more close ones in the near future that don't go our way. Def going to be needing a confident kicking game in the Michigan game (I don't think it's going to come down to kicks next weekend against PSU in the home opener - PSU will get trounced upon).

Yeah but we don't have the luxury of playing a warmup game like N illinois, akron, N texas etc.

As for the kicking I think we should just go with Buckhart, he can't be any worse than Gioia. I've seen enough of Gioia
