I love his attitude. I love his focus. He's got a job to do, he answers to his family and no one else. Doesn't give a damn what other people think. He's not a whiner.

Weis IS a jerk. He's a fundamentally good guy, and a great coach. He's upstanding. But he's a jerk. It's just his personality. To some people it'll be funny or cool, to others it'll not work. It's the coaching culture he was raised in. Parcells is a jerk. Belichek is a jerk.

As for the sleep, according to the article, it has nothing to do with his coaching dedication. He doubtless applies that extra time awake to coaching, but he isn't cutting short his sleep just because he's such a hard worker. He was going to be awake anyway.

Oh, sorry. I didn't know this was a "propaganda only" thread. I thought facts were allowed in.

Also, in real life, VY has put such things as "libraries" and "books" on his ignore list. And he's a lot happier for that, too.

If he's a jerk towards the press, then so be it. Not so sure when it became so important to kiss their asses. Pete Carroll's lips are puckered and ready to go.

I believe Big Don once posted here that Weis probably only sleeps 2-3 hours a night, if at all. I guess we've confirmed this to be accurate.

1. Weis is a jerk. Not just to media. To media, boosters, opposing coaches, and his own players. You can look up the word jerk. He is one. It's his style. It's not a bad thing. Parcells is one, Belichek is one. But to deny it is silly.

2. I already addressed the sleep thing. Yes, the numbers are accurate, but he's not sleeping that little because he's dedicated to coaching, or such a hard worker. He didn't have any choice. He probably DOES dedicate that time to coaching stuff, but as I said, he was going to be awake anyway. Makes as much sense to spend that time working on coaching stuff as on other stuff.
