Playstation NCAA 14 Dynasty

As I discovered when we stared as coordinators, it is extremely difficult if not impossible at times to run the style of offense I run without also controlling the defense. Head coach or bust.

I prefer playing a major in a recruiting hotbed: Texas, Florida, California.

I've picked Texas recently because I'll start Fr. (Rs.) Jalen Overstreet over the upper-classmen McCoy and Ash (did same as true freshman, last year) and I have met my criteria for building a power house. He can run my system and I can recruit around him and build it up to ridiculous levels. Think Saban at Alabama.

I just want to play.

That's a very interesting perspective Lion. Andy would have less work to do starting as a HC for a program like Texas, but much more pressure to keep it running right. The goals for head coaches at big schools are harder than the ones a bit lower. I also agree with Catholic's take that being on the same page would be good.

I do have to say though, if we all went head coaching and allowed any team choice we wouldn't necessarily be on the same page even if we're all head coaches. The program, and it's recruiting, at someplace like Texas is much better than even someone like another major program, Georgia. So I don't think being "even" is really an option...it's more what you do with it. People like Lion and I would be more interested in the journey and tailoring specific to where we want to go...so coordinating would be a great place to start.

Someone like Andy loves playing Texas, and so he can immediately jump in and do what he has the most fun doing, ya know? Ultimately, what defines the player in this type of dynasty is the amount of success. Games won, championships and bowls won, trophies won and the experience along the way. While Lion and I may toil longer climbing the ladder, it might make us better players and we learn new tricks. Meanwhile, Andy is busy meeting the high expectations of Texas football. He has more tools, but runs the risk of getting fired easier dropping him to our ranks.

His skill trees won't be any more full than ours, so in essence, that's probably as "even" as we can get with the wild difference of where college programs are at and how many there are. The NFL is much easier to determine parity.

Well, I hate to restart once again but perhaps it might be for the better? I am thinking if we do we go this way:

1. Pick whether you are a head coach or a coordinator. Either is fine because...

2. Pick whatever team you want.

3. I will adjust a few of the settings, such as the crazy QB accuracy and the penalties up just a bit. I'll also look at the pass coverage and pass interference.

I feel if we go this route, it gives people the utmost flexibility to play the way they want and with whom they want. Especially since it seems not everyone would be angling for the same teams so I don't think we'll run into that problem. I can get this set up this evening. Sorry I've been a bit slow on the uptake lately...I'm working down in Houston in advance of my wife and kids moving and this week they are here for a visit so I've been dedicating all my time to that.

Anyway, with regards to that setup, what do you guys think?

BKess, may I take Notre Dame? Here's my reasoning. If we're going to play as head coaches of big programs, we might as well go to ones we'll stick with. The only one I'll stick with is the Irish. But, you can snag LSU and run the $EC.
We'd have Stanford out of the PAC-12, Texas out of the Big XII, me as an Independent, and that's just so far. Sounds like a pretty irritated dynasty lineup. We'd all have to be HC's for User vs. User match ups that might come up. Everyone cool with that?

I'm going to take Florida State and see if I can settle into a dynasty with them. Never used them before. I'm tempted to take my power run to Wiscy, but I want something new this time around. The Noles it is!

Sorry I kind of bailed on the last dynasty. My internet was down for like 5 days and then I decided to trade in my PS3 and stand in line for a PS4 (I got one). Have fun with this new dynasty.

First fucking game I play, I shut-out NMST 33-0 and when I get done, "The commissioner has made changes to this dynasty that requires you to restart".

Didn't record game. What a piece of shit.

I will never buy a EA game ever again.

EDIT: Clipping is too high. Just had my SECOND kick return for a TD called back on my replay. Have yet to see a holding penalty. I'm one EA error away from calling it.

EDIT2: I'm restarting my game AGAIN, because I'm sorry, but losing my Fr. (Rs.) starting QB 10 weeks on a replay from a perfect game is bullshit. Anyone have a problem with this, just let me know and I'm as good as gone. This fucking mess is keeping me from some of the Iron Bowl!
