Been to 6 country's and ,about 30 states ,but not to a Notre Dame home game. Saw them stomp Rutgers the lasttime they was hear. But my plan in the next 3 years, is to make a home game. Until then I would like to know from anybody who been to a Game, what the atmosphere is like. What the best place to hangout after a game, the best places to eat or any other thing you think to make my experince a dream come true.. Thank you in advice.

You definitely have to get to a game. The energy is unimaginable. Obviously, get there early before the game and mill around. See the dome, grotto, etc. Great tailgate scene. If you go in early before the game, you can get closeups of the players warming up. The night before, hit the pep rally and then head down town to some of the bars. As far as particular bars, not too sure. Usually too lit up to remember LOL.

You've GOT to get to a game...i'm getting goose bumps typing about it. The atmosphere is incredible! I usually get to a couple games a year, and every time the atmosphere and hype around the game is unbelivable. Make sure you get to campus early...traffic is horrible. once you get there, check out the tailgates....best i've ever been too! as far as after the game there is a bar called "The Linebacker" that is just up the street. Thats a pretty cool place. However it gets pretty crowded in there. There is also a place downtown called "Corbys" that is a great place to hang out after the game! ummm...oh and "Between the Buns" is a great place that is just around the corner from campus and they have good food and great beer, so you cant go wrong with that place! Well i hope that you can make it sometime!

It truly is one the most beautiful places on earth. There is something about the fall in that part of the America that is special. Last year (MSU) we just sat on bench in front of the dome watching the mid morning sun bounce off of it.

The pep rallies are great. Everyone you meet is your friend. It is an amazing experience.

Places to go? I've pimped this place about dozen times in this forum. Fiddler's Hearth 127 N Main in South Bend. We make it our post pep rally ritual. Good food, great beer, authenic atomspere.

As far as Corby's goes... I had a self induced horrible time there, got stupid drunk, I mean really stupid drunk. I can't remember much of the night but the memories that I do have are horrible ones I'm unsuccessfully trying to supress. I now have a three beer limit at ND games.

Usually around 7:00pm LOTI. Make sure that when you get your tix, that you find out exactly what time.
