Hands down Paul Hornung. Even ND fans don't mention him. He got the 'cold shoulder' a couple of reasons. The others mentioned mostly are forgotten and 'who dat?' He's occasionally in news and known but it's an 'I don't know him at all.' I've felt for sometime his image can't be rehabbed.

You are correct KMac, those teams were absolutely loaded in the early 90's. Mike Miller was another guy that was just playing behind alot of talent. I could go on and on with my favorite players but Adrian Jarrell was I guy who made some of the biggest plays I can remember, that reverse vs FSU in 93, the deflected catches vs Mich and Mich St. I won't ever forget that guy ever.

I think he sat a year for grades, came back for a year, then left for the NFL with a year of eligibility left, I don't think he graduated, but I'm really not sure. ? He was really fast though.

Plus Jarrell did all the punting from the Pitt game on in '93....he was a true jack of all trades player. Miller came to campus and I believe he left because he was homesick, I believe grades played an issue in him leaving there might have also been off the field issues, but the kid was a stud....he and Clint Johnson were two of the fastest players to ever come through ND.

Terry Eurick, Anthony Johnson, Daryl Lamonica, Jack Snow

I agree with everyone but Snow, I think he will never be forgotten. Anthony Johnson was a stud....but don't forget Mark Green off the '88 squad, I truely believe that he was a key part of that championship.

FINALLY! somebody other than me mentions anthony johnson on this board! if you've got a copy of the 1988 championship season tape (and i do), you know how much of a stud he was that year.

I guess I just don't see alot of pub on Snow. He passed away earlier this year and I did not see alot of talk about it. Maybe I just missed it.

Seemed like Johnson ran about 2 inches off the ground. If you needed three yards, he got 'em.

I can't get off this post, Bobby"The Blanket" Taylor. Your right again KMAC about Jarrell, I forgot he did some punting. another jack of all trades was another fav of mine, Jeff Burris, talk about a loaded backfield and then have your free saftey come in on the goaline and score like 10 touchdowns.

He originally enrolled as a TB so it was his natural position if I recall.

I just remembered a good one, sadly no longer with us, and was the man at ND, seems to be a little forgotten these days...

Jeff Alm killed himself.

Didn't know that, that's a shame. Still, on the field, I don't think anyone had larger hands and longer arms that I can remember. The human flyswatter. May he RIP

My pick would be Tom Clements. He won a National Championship in 1973 and you never hear his name mentioned with the top ND quarterbacks.

Derrick Mayes, my first favorite player, although I guess he's not too forgotten.

Great call I put him up there in terms of QB's at ND and no one ever talks about him.

How about Dusty Zeigler?

He is from down here. Last Fall he spoke at our Quaterback Club, said the hardest thing he has ever done (and the thing he is most proud of) is earning the ND degree.

What about bobby howard.........he was a solid lb that really bolstered some pretty good defenses...........but im not sure that derrick mayes and bobby taylor can be considered for this..........those guys are some of the best cb and wr in nd history

Bobby Howard and Lyron Cobbins are both underated LB's. Benny Guilbeaux is another guy that I think is highly underated.

I think I already mentioned Dawson along with Jerrell and Johnson...I wouldn't consider Watters forgotten.
